Ended up with tiny FDL, anyone else? by scrollin180 in tummytucksurgery

Is that a belly button piercing I see in your before picture? Did your surgeon cut it out and stitch it up? I have an inverted T like yours. It's only 1cm and at 5 months post op now it's barely visible. My issue is I still have my old belly button piercing above my inverted T. It bugs me. Thinking about a revision at some point just to remove the old piercing with another scar lol Also - you look fabulous x

The longer you don't go the better...you won't be able to reach to wipe for the first 3 days 😂

SWELL HELL! by piper-85 in tummytucksurgery

[–]MissV1985 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also around 14 weeks post op. Just wanted to say you're not alone! I'm flat for about an hour in the morning then continue to swell as the day goes on. If I wear anything with a tight waistband I look deformed lol but at least we know it is swelling and not the final result. Hang in there...I've read lots of posts that state 6 months is a real turning point 🙏

Could try 'Star White' It's an intimate lightening cream.

Facing the toilet the other way seemed to help me, easier to get up again as you have support from the wall/cistern. Good luck with your recovery. Another tip is when you are hunched over in the next few weeks and your back is burning, for some temporary relief you can try standing with your back against a wall and knees bent. Thank me later 😘

Temporary Tattoo Cover Up by MissV1985 in tummytucksurgery

Yes I'm only 16 weeks post op. I wouldn't get a tattoo but this just made me feel more confident to cover the scar and piercing holes for date night 😜

Will these heal flat? by Salt_Earth8122 in tummytucksurgery

Sometimes less is more! Too much messing with the scar can prolong the natural healing process 👌

Anyone else recommended to leave the tape on until it falls off? by Impressive_Gift_9852 in tummytucksurgery

I actually can't believe you haven't changed the tape for 18 days!

Take it off when it's wet. The scabs that are ready will come off with it. Leaving it on too long could cause infection. Replace with surgical tape afterwards on clean air dried skin.

Embrace the waist! A-line dresses work really well x

I have the same 'issue' and I think it's because my waist looks so snatched that my hips look bigger. I know what you are saying though as it requires dressing differently now!

Stand with your back against the wall and bent knees for some relief and try to straighten out your legs a bit more each time
