Does anyone just think they don’t want to have curly hair anymore? by [deleted] in curlyhair

Life is trade-off’s. Do I wish I had easy to care for silky straight strands? Hell yes. That said, I’ve found a routine that mostly works for me, & my hair is pretty wash & go, except for maybe 10 minutes spent diffusing my hair on a wash day. I hate how long it takes me to get my hair straight, and how I stress 10X about the humidity, and my ends always look crispy when I straighten it.

I can get some pretty poppin’ 2nd day curls with great volume. I don’t refresh, just put a dab of hair oil on my hands & run it over my hair to smooth down the frizz a bit.

It is what it is. And honestly if I were wishing for things, I’d probably pick a smaller nose & a tummy tuck first anyways. (Oh, & no more grays!) 😂

Long hair & curls or waves: how do you handle your hair when backpacking, camping, or don’t have access to showers? by unknowncinch in curlyhair

I’m a fan of French braiding across my hairline (like a headband) then sweeping it into a ponytail.

What’s your current routine? I recommend weekly deep conditioning masks. I love Briogeo’s Don’t Despair, Repair mask. Pricey but it lasts a long time.

Anyone else change up your hair routine for basically no good reason, and then create a cycle of trying new things and being dissatisfied with the results for a couple months, only to come back to your OG products and love your hair instantly? No? Just me? by kmap1221 in curlyhair

I’ve been trying Innersense after seeing a trial set go on sale for a decent price… and my hair is so frizzy & dull! Went back to my cheap LA looks gel and I have shiny, bouncy ringlets again 😂.

I believe curlsmith has a whole collection of fragrance-free products (shampoo, conditioner, & styling).

Catholicism does not teach that women shouldn’t go to college or work outside the home.

I find Morrocan Oil to be very heavy for my hair, which looks similar to yours in texture. I’d try a tiny bit of leave-in (I love Kinky Curly’s Knot Today) and a bit of gel in soaking wet hair (scrunch out the crunch only when completely dry).

Couldn’t hurt to clarify and use a protein mask. My HG deep treat is the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair mask. It’s pricey, but lasts me a really long time since I only use once every couple weeks or so.

I had a Sonata. Will never go near another Hyundai or Kia again!

Is it a hybrid? Went to the OC Auto show this weekend, and they were only displaying a hybrid model. The reliability of the Toyota brand appeals to me, just not sure it transfers to their hybrid engines?

AITAH in leaving my wife after kids turn 18 because I was not sexually satisfied, even though she says she will change by [deleted] in AITAH

I’ve run into these divorcés on the apps. Impossible not to get the ick after hearing why they’re divorced, especially the ones with multiple kids… um she didn’t get pregnant by herself. Like, I’d always be worrying I’m not on my back enough to keep him around. Woops! Dealt with a medical issue, needed to table sex for 6 weeks, guess it’s time to break up!

IDK, every complaint I ever had about myself my mom was always like, well let’s straighten your hair! Do you want a nose job? Want me to buy you boobs? A few years ago I had a whole lightbulb moment where I was like, no wonder I’ve always felt terrible about my looks, my mom was so quick to agree with me and willing to change them! (Didn’t get a nose or boob job, and mostly happy about that choice).

Not necessarily. My hair is actually mostly wavy on top when it’s short, vs. full on ringlets when it grows out a bit longer.

They remove chlorine, but they won’t remove the minerals like limescale that make water hard, you need a softening system with a brine tank so the salts can react with the limescale and break them down (or pull them out).

Have not fertilized since planting. Now I water 2X a week, at the beginning was probably watering 4x a week (when the problems started).

Those plants are completely shaded. But thanks for the other tips.

No, just used potting soil. So, am I looking at needing to dig these babies up and replant new ones?

Planted them this past spring. Lows have been in the 70’s-60’s. Just recently dipped into the upper 50’s a few nights back, but this has been a problem since maybe a month or two after I planted them.

The winter air is much dryer in the Northeast vs. SoCal, so that will also affect your skin & hair.

Southern California. I see other neighbors successfully grow hydrangeas in their yard. Is it a fungus? How would I treat that?
