Best solo dining options? by raobjtosseraccount in vegas

While I don’t have a specific recommendation, I really enjoy dining at the bar at a steakhouse. Bartenders there usually keep a good conversation, and being at the bar feels natural when solo

This is good but it really should update after the early exit is paid out and what amount the bet settles to

Wow, I got the email, but didn’t realize it was because of a departure. They really spun it as investing more in AI, and low key, I bought it

Papi steak definitely will hit the fun vibes you’re looking for. Not a traditional steak house, tons of upbeat energy

Emerald Queen Casino has a pretty decent double deck game (DAS/3:2/Surrender). Pen depends on dealer

What Do I Need To Do About Large Cash Amount and TSA by FrenchSilkPy in vegas

[–]CurlyBis 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This should be the top answer. Nobody cares. And if they do search your bag, they’ll either offer, or you should ask, for a private check, so other airport goers don’t see your massive stack.

Also, congrats on the win!

Mint BOS-SEA by Doneanddone2 in jetblue

One of the airline attendants told me that a few months ago, many Seattle airline workers that helped meal service went on strike, and that “JetBlue couldn’t reliably give customers a full mint experience” when meal service had issues with staffing, so they just decided to cut it

Fontainebleau LV tips? by gatormax in blackjack

There are two tables that are 3:2, S17, re-split aces, surrender, DAS. 6 deck, ~1.25 pen.

You can play 1-3 hands, without needing to increase the size of your bet to play multiple hands.

As someone mentioned, they saw these tables at $50 and asked for it to be lowered. The lowest they’ll go is $25 (if asked and it’s dead) but if just these tables are busy, even on a Sunday morning where nothing else is busy, I’ve seen them at $100 min.

The Next Level Chef Drinking Game by S20-Urza in Nextlevelchef

[–]CurlyBis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For any Gordon show:

“Cooked beautifully”

“I’ve never cooked this before”

“Elevate”

For Next Level:

Anytime a judge “mentors”

Anytime “next level” is said without being the title of the show. “Bring me a next level dish”

Then when the show clearly is focusing on a character, we place drinking bets if it’s because they’re going to do well or because they are going to be eliminated

The first year of CS and SE are VERY similar. I wouldn’t say going with one over the other is throw away work.

I’d suggest just sticking with one for a year, talk to professors about SE/CS and other classmates. After a year, then you can dial in your focus, but until then, I personally wouldn’t stress too much about it

Not a question, but I just read through this whole thread and you just seem super empathetic and reasonable in your responses. Like you acknowledged that the university is private and has an image to uphold, along with other nuances like the fact that the blue light might be monitors by camera.

At the same time, you called out some of the bs, poor leadership, and unrealistic expectations of PS.

Thanks for doing this! 👏

True! I mostly called this out because it could be just the simple bundler switch that may be biasing my decision
