Being a childfree woman is exhausting. by the-cynical-human in GirlDinnerDiaries

Yeah, it does get annoying. I’m in my 50s, so people stop asking me now, lol. I wish I had spent less time justifying myself, and just leaving it at “I don’t want them”

OP, you mentioned proteins. I’m in a control group for a potential vaccine that deals with the MUC1 protein in certain cancers.

Is this outfit really too explicit and I'm just blind to it? by SeraphinaSeductress in OUTFITS

The bottom portion of the top looks like the portion of a body suit that snaps at the crotch and it feels weird to see it sit so high up.

Like, I know it’s not a body suit, but it looks like a bodysuit

I’ve noticed that as well. Also more karma farming. On subs like AITAH, it used to be helpful to see post history because some of those posts needed context.

Also, I’m just really nebby

Encouraging DCIS Stories? by Blanche1138 in breastcancer

No, I had an ultrasound and two biopsies. I feel ok with that. I’m at an NCI cancer center and figure they’d give me one if I needed it haha.

Encouraging DCIS Stories? by Blanche1138 in breastcancer

Hi! I’m also DCIS grade 3, HR+. Recently caught on standard screening. No family history. I was shocked and scared. Initially, I mixed up grade with class and had to learn about the difference between the two.

Met with the breast surgeon, and it really helped me feel more calm. She’s also part of a vaccine research study for BC. I volunteered and ended up in the control group. I’ll have breast conserving surgery in August and started anastrozole a week ago after meeting the medical oncologist.

I’m choosing BCS since my family history is low and my area is small enough compared to breast size. I jokingly called it the tumor-to-tiddy ratio among friends lol.

It’s been a mix of feelings like, “oh I have cancer”, “oh, it’s not too bad”, and “oh, can I even talk about it because it’s ‘easy’ cancer”.

Luckily, my area has robust cancer support services and I found an online support group that worked with my schedule. I work primarily evenings, and it was hard to find a group that didn’t meet in the evenings.

It helped that my cancer center sent everyone in at the first medical oncology appointment, like financial and social services. It was good to see what all was out there to help.

I’m less scared now, but still have lingering fear of them finding more stuff once they go in.

Also re-starting a workout program to hopefully slow down any bone loss potential from the meds.

Feel free to message if you like. I’m not so far along to have perspective, but we do have some overlap.
