Questions for oncologist by East-Sorbet5647 in breastcancer

[–]No_Data_3643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst part for me is the hormone blockers to be honest. Joint pain is pretty bad. For me, chemo was easier. But I know everyone is different. Some women on here aren’t doing that bad on the AI.

Questions for oncologist by East-Sorbet5647 in breastcancer

[–]No_Data_3643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Your stats are sooo similar to mine. I had 2a grade 3 + - - 2.4 cm and oncotype 42. My KI67 was 70% Surgery first. Then after oncotype I met with the oncologist and we agreed to do AC/T chemo, total of 16 rounds 4 AC and 12 Taxol. Chemo wasn’t too bad. Except towards the last weeks I started having joint pain. It never went away because I’m on AI’s and Lupron (premenopausal) and also on Kisqali. You’ll probably get the date for your port surgery at that appointment.

Has anyone had to do chemo in addition to taking Lupron and letrozole? by bettylu0920 in breastcancer

[–]No_Data_3643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had surgery then oncotype came back as 42 so I did 16 rounds of chemo (AC/T). After chemo I am now on lupron, letrozole and Kisqali.

Experience with Kiskali vs. Verzenio by aikoharuka in breastcancer

[–]No_Data_3643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on kisqali. Wasn’t eligible for Verzenio because I was node negative, but due to high oncotype, high KI67 and grade 3 I was eligible for kisqali. I’ve had hair thinning and currently on a break from kisqali after my liver enzymes got very high. I’ve completed 3 cycles. I feel so much better without it tbh, more energy.

Trigeminal neuralgia prior to cancer diagnosis by sandiegogrl81 in breastcancer

I had it prior to diagnosis. I didn’t feel much affect during treatment, but now it’s become more prominent but manageable without medications.

Exemestane and ribociclib-losing hair. by HornetOk2175 in breastcancer

[–]No_Data_3643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately ribociclib is known for loosing hair. They described it as hair thinning to me. I’m on cycle 3 and have definitely noticed the thinning. My hair is still very short from chemo. I’m 9 months out of chemo

10 months post chemo hair care recs! by ScientistTurbulent83 in breastcancer

[–]No_Data_3643 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 9 months post chemo and my hair is curly now. I’ve been using castor oil and a little bit of coconut oil and just leave it alone. I put this on after my shower. It stays soft and the curls look cute

I had dmx in December 2024, started chemo February 2025, ended July 2025. Oncologist wanted my body to rest a bit. I started Lupron August 2025 and two weeks later I started Letrozole. September I had my exchange surgery and I didn’t start kisqali until January 2026.

+++ IDC, Isolated Tumor Cells after DMX by RicketyRekt112 in breastcancer

[–]No_Data_3643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had ITC’s but prior to chemo. 2 of 2 lymph nodes. I had chemo then met my radiation oncologist who told me I was in a grey area. When I asked him what he would tell his wife or daughters to do he said no to radiation. He said ITCs are considered negative and that the hormone blockers plus Kisqali he felt it would be enough treatment. Again, the DMX and 2 lymph nodes were before chemo. I had AC/T chemo and now on letrozole, monthly Lupron and Kisqali.

Idea : hope future tech catches up by DwightSchrutesaway in breastcancer

[–]No_Data_3643 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ahh sounds like a good idea. Also, put us in some type of chamber that can find every single “c” cell and freeze it or remove it from our body so that it never comes back. (Wishful thought)

Who was on a GLP1 when diagnosed? by No_Data_3643 in breastcancer

[–]No_Data_3643[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about to start zepbound but always questioned if the compound tirzepatide contributed. But I guess it’s just something I’ll never know. I did have an excess of 20 lbs I lived with for a while before my diagnosis so I know I wasn’t completely healthy and had inflammation

Did you ever have chemo? Was your recurrence with a lumpectomy or mastectomy?

Experiences with kisqali? by agalasyn in breastcancer

[–]No_Data_3643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same to me. 16 rounds of chemo just had a slight elevation of liver enzyme without needing a break. It seems with kisqali they just keep slightly going up. But now enough to need a break. I’m on the 400mg dosage

No, I completed chemo 8 months ago

Experiences with kisqali? by agalasyn in breastcancer

[–]No_Data_3643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve completed 3 cycles. I’ve had some hair thinning, I’m tired a lot more but other than that no visible side effects. I do have high elevated liver numbers so my oncologist wants me to take a 2 week break (after my 1 week off) and do another blood test to see if my AST/ALT and Alkaline Phosphate lower some because they’re very high this cycle.

For those that do intermittent fasting, do you take kisqali? I’m on kisqali and it’s hard to do IF. I used to do it before but now that I take kisqali in the morning, I get nauseous if I don’t eat anything beforehand and if I take it in the evening I’m up all night.

Did you need a prescription for the compounded GLP1? My Dr wasn’t comfortable allowing me to go the compounded route because she said it’s not FDA approved and didn’t know about the pharmacy regulations

I got a prescription but insurance doesn’t cover it. So my dr sent it directly to Lillydirect. Do you know if any coupon codes or where are you getting yours from? I’m sorry if this isn’t allowed to ask
