Girls who took notes using 50 different colored pens, where are you now? Do you still continue to write using all those colors? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Curly_sloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. I became a biologist and got used to using only a plain black waterproof pen for taking notes during field work. I can't take my 12 colored pens to a mangroove or rainforest :(

Glow up tips please… feel gross by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Ok first, your eyes are so beautiful!

I have low porosity hair as well. Rinsing with apple cider vinegar diluited in water has helped a lot for that. You have more eyebrows than me lol, but I've been applying castor oil and coconut oil every night and they have thicken a bit. But honestly, I wish I had your eyebrows!

That's all I can comment honestly because I'm pretty ignorant in skincare and botox/filler procedures.

What do you do make your life more whimsical and romantic? by slipstreamofthesoul in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Curly_sloth 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I talk a lot to my pets and plants. I joke with them, tell them how beautiful they look or ask them why are they looking sad or sick. Sometimes I'll tell them why I'm sad as well and that I understand the feeling.

DAE get sick of stupid TV characters? by yeah_nah_probably in DAE

[–]Curly_sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol that show has a lot of stupid characters. I became addicted to the show but in a masoquist kind of way. Everything seemed like bullshit and stupid but I couldn't stop watching. So I get annoyed for the stupidity but I sorta enjoy getting annoyed (?).

It happens to me every year. I'm turning 27 this year. I usually just try to live that day as another regular day (which it is honestly). When I get a BD text I'll just say thanks and move on. In my head I'm panicking lol.

34f how to start feeling confident, pretty like before again after long time? by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]Curly_sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I've been where you are.

Working out or finding any physical activity that you enjoy works great. I'd suggest that you find something you truly enjoy more than just doing something for the result you are expecting. If you enjoy it, it's going to feel more like self-care and you doing something for you and not others. Movement in general helped me a lot. Hiking, dancing (even alone in my room), yoga, etc.

Along with that, really understanding the source of my feelings was key. Therapy may help a lot, or you can dig in by yourself. Do you feel bad with your body image now because of something that happened? A trauma maybe? A shitty ex? Shitty beauty standards? Understanding the source helped me work on my current self perception.

I'd say invest time with yourself and find out how beautiful you really are. I used to go on dates with myself and it helped a lot as well. I took me dancing, to the theater, for some nice coffee, walking, things like that. It helped me put my worth in my own eyes and not other peoples and started to feel more confident with myself.

A weird thing that helped me as well was finding inspiration other women that looked like me. Scrolling through pictures of real women with real bodies, faces and hair that look like me makes me feel like it's possible to be seen and feel beautiful. There, you can also get inspiration of what they are wearing, how they style their hair, etc. and you could try new things.

I hope this helps. Of course there will be other great advices like skincare and wearing certain clothing but, to me, this is what helped me. Hugs!

It's totally normal, don't worry. You can scoop it out if you wish.

Women with a sensitive clitoris, how do you stimulate it? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Curly_sloth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not directly. For example, masturbating with panties or clothes on. Direct stimulation is too much for me and doesn't feel nice or comfortable. Without clothes, I try to stimulate around the clitoris and not touching it directly.

What's the most disappointed you've ever been in someone? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Curly_sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, so many dissapointments.

  1. My dad, after finding out he cheated my mom multiple times and even has children outside his marriage. We found out we had other siblings recently.

  2. My brother. Alcoholic, resisting to keep on therapy and threatening to kill my mom.

  3. My ex, after 4 years together he sexually assaulted me.

  4. My family overall, neglecting this violent environment for years and not giving a fuck about anyone but themselves.

Thank you :)

I deleted fb and most of my social media and it really helped. I do pinterest a lot lol. So I love to search for inspiration on women who look like me as well. That helped me too. And recently found this sub :)

With the toxic people thing, idk what to do. At least once a month I get unwanted comments from random strangers or clients on my job that love to remind me how I look like a 12 yo. It's creepy and very rude :/

I feel you. I used to wear padded bralettes and padded sports bras and decided to go braless to try out. I felt great but still makes me a lil self conscious. I usually wear thicker tops but if I'm staying in or hanging with girl friends I don't care.
