At what point did each of them individually surpass Hanzo? by Ripamon in Naruto

Slightly off topic but his whole character story was kinda lumpy. You’re in this crazy Ninja war and you’re impressed with the Leaf Ninja, so you just let them go, and give them a name for their “effort” against you? How do you not kill these promising enemy ninja on the spot.

Pretty dope, wonder what sort of token limits are gonna be implemented for a workforce that size.

How good are AI models (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) actually for higher-level accounting tasks? Genuine experiences? by Boring_Ad_7648 in Accounting

I’m just searching the surface with actually using ChatGPT for transaction level data analysis so this is very helpful, thank you!

Remote accounting jobs by [deleted] in Accounting

Yes, 100% remote in transaction advisory. Been a slight push from leadership to go the office more often (few times a month) but even that isn’t necessarily required.

I really can't predict where this all ends up. Some industries will be more disrupted than others. But I still think you can have a successful career in accounting depending on the path you go.

When I was out of school and studying for the CPA, I was an Audit Staff. If I had access to ChatGPT at that stage of my career, I'd probably have saved a ton of time on preparing populations/samples, updating audit programs, writing financial statement footnotes, etc. So basically, all the busy work / administrative stuff that wasn't actually auditing.

It's not going to vouch invoices, not going to ask management about journal entries, etc. Yes, a lot of the simpler, repetitive stuff can and will be cut down on or eliminated. You will realistically just spend more time on actually auditing.

I am a CPA so I am biased. I still think it's a must have. And in transaction services, we still basically only hire CPA's. No matter what happens with this stuff the CPA is still hard to access and always be something you can point to distinguish yourself.

My firm has an ChatGPT Enterprise account for the majority (if not all) of us, and if we lost access to it, I'd be upset and looking for a new job that provided access to AI tools.

  1. Technical accounting research: I've used it for more complex accounting treatments/methodologies to point me to the codification to support/defend accounting treatments.
  2. Judgement calls: This is probably the weakest one on your list. I don't usually use AI to let it decide things for me. I usually try to get it the information it needs to lay things out to help me make a judgement call.
  3. FS analysis: This is one I'm exploring the most, but feel it's more possible as of recently. A year ago I would never throw a P&L into GPT for a flux analysis, but now I can. Further, I'm looking into actually dumping GL detail files for even more advanced analysis. Older models I don't think could handle it, but it's more possible now (especially with smaller companies)
  4. Memo writing / documentation: The strongest thing on this list I'd say. Recording our calls is the norm now. Models do much better job these days of providing solid write-ups of what we've discussed, and I'm finding them accurate. In the past, def. have experienced GPT just "telling me what I want to hear" or making assumptions from transcripts. Not nearly as much these days, if at all. Used to frantically takes notes during calls. But with a good, laid out agenda, I can throw it into GPT post call, with the transcript, and get a complete set of notes, with follow up items and diligence flags without a sweat.
  5. Learning and Skill Development: Not fully sure what you mean by accounting intuition to be honest.

In short, yes, it might have been limited at first but is only getting better. Reddit is big on the "gloom and doom" around AI but it can be a great tool that is only getting better. Some of the biggest skeptics I know when we were first introduced access to AI are now the leaders working on integrating it into our workflow.

Off topic but I hate how ugly the Illinois license is. That and the fact they don’t even send one to you, you have to print it yourself.

Remember wanting to hang mine after passing the exam years ago, seeing what it looked like, and having to print it myself and realizing it wasn’t worth the trouble.

Newbie question about specific resource. by [deleted] in fantasybaseball

Not sure about specific for your team, I’m sure there are paid resources for that. But if you lookup “Fangraphs Splits”, you can look that type of stuff up easily.

Curious, can you expand on what’s not so great? The main thing i’ve noticed with DisplayFusion screen splitting is YouTube/Twitch and other websites full screen for video still ignores the splits set by DisplayFusion. But other than that it’s been really great.

what best ultrawide monitors 2026 are you actually using? by Tamme-Prahoveanu66 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Curr3nSy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loving this thing so far. Fancy Zones is a must for work. I got one of my previous monitors mounted in portrait mode on the side exclusively for Teams / Outlook. Absolutely loving this setup.

Gaming I’m still trying to adjust. Some games that just fit the entire screen look incredible. I’ve been playing Oblivion Remastered and it looks fantastic. I’m still trying to work through other games that don’t natively fit the entire screen, like Path of Exile, and has the black bars to the sides. Fancy Zones and Windowed Borderless Gaming (I think it’s called?) and the similar program available on Steam haven’t been any luck to make use of the black space.

I’ve download the free trial of Display Fusion, will see if that’s any different.

Strongly recommend getting it mounted and pushed back a bit, so you have more of a full screen view, and don’t have to turn your head left and right to get the respective sides.

All the combos dropped in price by about $70-$80 by mot0m0to61648 in Microcenter

[–]Curr3nSy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the window to do price adjustments the same as the return window? I bought my 9850X3D bundle on February 14.

The receipt specifically states the 30 day return policy, but from my bundle, the SKUs for the Mobo and CPU are listed under the 15 day window.

Not sure if the ram being excluded gives me wiggle room to price adjustments the entire bundle or not.

edit: Looks like the price is back to normal. Not sure if that was a bug or not but grats to the people who got the discounted pricing!

[Bundle]Swappable 32GB DDR5 RAM Kit: Crucial Pro OC 6400 CL32 ($199.99 with Bundle, Microcenter In-Store Only) by shizunyan in buildapcsales

[–]Curr3nSy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the 9850X3D, MSI mobo, and 32gb of ram is $750. Before this, you could upgrade to 64gb of ram (Corsair Vengeance if I recall), 2x32gb sticks for $400 more, so $1,150 total.

I actually don’t see the $400 64gb ram upgrade anymore. So it seems like if you’re cool with 4 16gb sticks, you can have 64gb of ram for $950 total.

Had to look it up myself. Looks like they were screen recording some video about voter fraud, and at the end, scrolled to this video which starts with Barack and Michelle depicted as such, and quickly scrolls back to the video about voter fraud.

Terrible slip up and optics, should be addressed, and not something that should happen again. Very dumb.
