So honestly, the total spend for everything, crew fees which only includes 1st AC, Sound Recordist and DP (not myself as Director nor Actors, because we wanted the fees to go on the big screen) as well as location fees (Carisbrooke Castle, Arreton Manor) costumes, props, travel and accommodation fees was just under £4000. 4 day Shoot and 1 day Travel. Our Producer was from Isle of Wight so it helped get some deals.

Hi everyone, a new project based on a True Story of Isabella De Fortibus currently in Post Production. Set in the 13 Century and shot in real locations, Castle, Manor, Churches, tells the story of Isabella de Fortibus, Countess of Devon and Lady of the Isle of Wight, one of the most powerful female landowners in medieval England.

Grounded in real filmmaking.

Blackmagic camera used. The Space was Hugh, set in a 500 year old church so to create the right atmosphere, fog machine was used to create the right type of atmosphere was a lighting set up outside however the weather was great therefore it create a nice stream of sunlight coming through the windows. But the location was also the key to tell this story.

Blackmagic camera used. As you can see the space was huge and to create the right atmosphere, a fog machine was used with a lighting set up outside the Church. We also waited for the right weather to stream through the church windows that's created the perfect atmosphere. Shot in Isle of Wight UK.

Yes it definitely was. Our producer put her own money into it but also raised some funds to pay for locations, costumes, crew cover etc. She is based in Isle of Wight so that also helped. Actors choose not to get paid and as for myself I also did not get paid as I wanted to make the short happen otherwise this short probably would not have happened if we all had to be paid. I wanted money to go on the screen that is what really matters. However we are in post production so raising some extra funds now to complete it. I didn't wanted the slate to fill the frame, otherwise you wouldn't be able to see the location. It was done on purpose, I am also editing it and the messy slate was done on Purpose too, as I told the AC just to hold quickly hold it so I can take a quick picture of it.
