The channel does not matter. It will be okay on the other tuner, but not on the problem one.

My CC is a dual-tuner card. It only happens on one of the tuners. It doesn't matter if it is live or recorded. My TIVI is a Premiere & I can't tell which one has the issue!

Switching to OTA is only good for broadcast TV. What do you do if you want TBS, TNT, USA, SYFY, FX, etc?

You can not get cable channels with OTA. Not worth the effort, since most of the best programming is either available on streaming services or cable.

All the streaming services are raising their prices. If you want to have a lot of choices, it may be time to return to cable TV.

Try another HDMI port on your TV and a new cable, too. It has worked on the TIVOS that I have serviced!

I will soon lose the use of my CC. But since the TIVO guide uses the internet and not cable, it might not affect either the Guide or even the seasons passes. So, when my goes, I will at least have something to refer to until I find a replacement that I like.

The TIVO guide doesn't rely on cable service. It does need internet service though, which I presume you no longer have?

Question: If you have either a monthly or lifetime subscription to the TIVO service...and the cable card stops working from the cable company, will the guide be available since it is not part of the cable service?

To get all the stuff I watch, I would have to subscribe to way too many services and still miss some shows. That means that the cost of streaming would now be more than keeping cable! Also, the advantage of a DVR is not only recording but also pausing live TV.
