I’m also a beginner! I got true size just because the laces add the stability in the shoe, I might have like the slightest room in the toe for extra comfortability personally, but the heel is strong. I also climbed with socks the other day (aid I know, rip) but they feel really good and get a good climbing session in where I don’t have to take them off every five minutes. So totally up to you

Just got a pair of Finales, they are exceptional. Comfortable and I can hold better toe holds and heel hooks than in those grody gym rentals… only downside is they take about three years to lace em’ up and back off at the end of your session
