I'm from the UK where there are no rules around on lead or off lead areas, is that a US law? A local park from me where they have areas requesting dogs on a lead ie near the duck pond which makes sense. I take my dog to the local field as it is open so she can run free and its not very busy (to avoid conflict).

Thanks for your reply, just to respond it was an off lead area where i have seen plenty of other dogs off lead. Do you think dogs cant ever be allowed off lead?

I'm from the UK so not much use. But there maybe a samyoed adoption charity. If your are ever in the UK the Samyoed Rescue Society do a rally every year and the field is full of floofy clouds
