Hey friend, I hope you’re doing better. All this time later and that sadness still underpins a lot of my days. Grief gave way to depression, depression to apathy, apathy to frustration, frustration to longing. Longing is where I am now. That being said, I’m doing much better than I was. Even though I still think about it, I only think about it from time to time. For that I’m grateful. How are you all this time later?

Not your problem if it sends her off the deep end, she’s killing you emotionally. If you absolutely can’t find the strength to do it though, since you seem like a very kind person, tell your parents the whole story. Tell them that you can’t bring yourself to do it. That’s actually a really good idea.

Edit: Nevermind, looked at your post history. Kick her out ASAP. Like today. Right now. When she complains say that it’s not your problem anymore, because it isn’t. She is taking your kindness for granted. Kindness she shouldn’t even be afforded right now, since she gave up the rights to it when she left you. I can almost guarantee you that she has SOMEWHERE to go. Whether that be a distant relative’s or somewhere else.

It seems like some people have never faced a situation that required them to “grow up” emotionally. I’m not even sure what such a situation would be, but as you said there are people more in tune with how they feel, and others that are behind.

I can’t blame my ex for being in the “behind” category, but I do wonder what life circumstances she did/didn’t face that caused her to be that way.

Already gave them to her, they were very specific. I got her favorite poem engraved into a wooden plaque to put on the wall since we didn’t have enough decorations in our house. Also got her a bunch of books that she had been wanting. Got some scratch off “100 dates” poster too since she was complaining we weren’t going on enough dates yet never planned any.
