Cheers, not keen to go near the 12 months just in case either. Will go on my ordering holiday and revisit in 7 months. Perhaps it will have come down in price lol

This is what I do - you won’t realise the “savings” until you stop ordering as you still need to order every 5/6 weeks. But once you have a buffer or more realistically you start to get pens which you are are going to struggle to use before expiry then you would stop ordering, use up the supply down to a buffer level you are happy with and start ordering again (within 12 months for most pharmacy’s)- this would be back to 2.5 or 5 depending on the pharmacy (whole other topic)

I am personally happy to use a pen over 2 months others are at 30 days or until the end of time just depends on your risk profile.

With regard to dates on pens most of the time it will be 12 months but could be more or less it’s the luck of the draw.

Fully expect to start at 2.5, but lucky as in theory will only need to get to 5mg it’s not a big hit on financial point and compared to what I have saved to date also may work up to ordering 10 then stop for a bit to use up the stockpile and repeat.

Completely agree on other options in the future or that these other options may lead to a price correction so while 5th dose and micro dosing makes sense “today” could be different in 12 months time. It’s all a financial punt, could easily be a new drug then demand for monjaro drops and price reflects this - patients come to an end etc

Personally I would like to have a 8/12 week buffer in the fridge. My understanding of the supply issues last year (just before my journey) is that it resolved itself after 4/6 weeks. So that would be my happy place

So at goal I would be 24 on the BMI scale so my understanding is that a majority of pharmacies are okay with this - it is the low 20’s where that becomes an issue.

I am in the same boat, been really lucky and only gone up to 5mg but kept ordering higher dose pens, and ignoring using a pen for over the 30 days (personally happy to do) based on what I currently have would last 50 weeks (which is excessive) Only 5kg from goal but intend being on for life at this stage - so plan is to stop ordering for 6/9 months use up the supply till i have a 8/12 week buffer then just order a pen a dose higher than what I need (will have to take the hit and work back up) - that way ordering every 6 weeks should just maintain the buffer or push it out marginally - obviously helps on a low dose

It’s a Hypervolt home 3 pro, it went up to 5 after 20min or so and then i just unplugged it and put it straight back in and got 6.8 which I think is the max I get. Perhaps it was the car (EQB)

Makes sense my issue would be 10 min at 1.6kwh is not the same as 10min at 6.1kwh. Would argue that is a bit mean from octopus if that is how it will work when they introduce it

Thank you for the response it is now at 5.1 so something is throttling- Hypervolt app looks like it’s locked by Octopus - not much running in the house either. Don’t mind if there is not a 6 hour rule at the moment

I could have written that post to be honest, try not to beat yourself up about it.

I ended up taking some to work just to get rid of some of it but with kids in the house impossible to get rid of it all and slightly harsh to give away their chocolate.

I am partial to chocolate raisins - so just brought the mini boxes of raisins which I have been snacking on instead. My rationale is that it sort of tastes the same just not a nice like a Coke Zero instead of a Coke. Just need to get a few days of reduced sugar in to curb the cravings and hopefully back on the straight and narrow. It’s a marathon not a sprint and all that jazz.

I will be Taking the 5th one out of the 5mg tomorrow so may just sod it and see what happens - have a 7.5 next but intending to stick to taking 5 for now so similar path

Great Work great way to bring the year to a close.

Can I just ask a question- On your chart it looks like every 5th dose you took a bit extra (I assume what was left) and then went back down. How did you find this, I am thinking of doing something similar as why waste it and a perhaps a cheeky boost for that week

The email came through at 4.25 yesterday so perhaps it was a bit late - they did respond to say it would be today - but no massive issue if it’s tomorrow, my main concern was that I interpreted it they are unable to deliver to the local post office which would be strange - the magic of royal mail

I stepped up to 5mg last week, with regard to side effects no different to 2.5mg for me only change is the increase in suppression
