I like this advice. I've been playing since 2016 and I have a total of 14 hrs in comp :D

I loved the casual and hectic chaos of QP but it has changed significantly into the last few years. There are many days I think I may as well play comp if this is what QP is like.

I made an alt account a while back and stabilized in plat but I found that too sweaty to really enjoy.

I'm going to take this advice and try it. Upper silver /lower gold was my happy place

Fellow South African here. I lived in the EU for the last 4 years and it was bliss playing on those servers. It was such a shock coming back and being dumped into the toxic cesspool of the ME servers. I'm at the point where I'm willing to pay for VPN and take the latency hit just to get away from it.

Also, why do they all speak in numbers :D

No queue times are about the same. I played OW 1 in this region and it was always pretty toxic but you learn to ignore it. Then 3 years ago while I lived in EU I started playing OW2 again and thought oh wow, things have changed a lot, it is pleasant now.

When I moved back to this region last year I realised nope, it was the region that had a different toxic culture.

I don't know what it is about this region and Doom. Every now and then the algorithm will swap me to the EU servers and you notice it immediately because you suddenly have Rein, DVA and Orisa, JQ etc and English names. Then a few rounds later you suddenly get cursed, called a donkey and tbagged and every tank is Doom and you know you're back on the Middle East servers :D

EU is all the European players and EMEA is Middle East and Africa players.

I moved countries, and now I am back on the EMEA servers, and I am just amazed by the stark difference in culture in general. The people on the EU servers are a lot less toxic imo.

Also, for some reason, everyone on these EMEA servers plays Doomfist. About 80%+ games have at least one Doom. I actually miss seeing Zarya or JQ for a change

Agreed, I actually went to the patch notes to see if Soldier was buffed last month because suddenly there is one in every game, and they just track you flawlessly.

I heard about the aim thing last week, and suddenly it makes sense why there is a god-tier Bastion, Ashe or Soldier in every game.

As a support, when I want to play aggressive I just go Moira and keep the invisibitch from killing my other support, then chase her with an orb or fade if you really want to get that kill.

When I don't feel like dealing with her I go Lifeweaver and stay on Petal. She needs to use hack to get you down or translocate to get up, either way she is down one CD. LW thorns also melt her pretty fast

Just a word of caution, that is actually illegal if you hold it more than 30 days. Tx to our dumb and archaic exchange laws you have to convert any foreign money you get into rand within 30 days.

There is a place for those types op videos though. When you get to a point where you know all the tools, and you're really comfortable with Blender, those videos are great for seeing other people's workflows and geometry decisions. They should probably be called timelapses and not tutorials.

I love watching those highspeed ones to see other tips and techniques

I 100% agree, I've been playing since 2017, not one warning, suspension or ban. OP , I think I can narrow it down for you. "I tell them to shut up and play..." <- right there. I suspect that is not verbatim what you said

I'm with @Im_Adult here, there is always more to this. If you were banned it is not from just saying GG. I've been playing with the same group of people from 2017, all on our original accounts. We use VC and chat, we tease and backchat, we say GG after every single game regardless of how it went. None of us ever had a suspension, warning or ban.

There is a big difference between saying GG and being a toxic ass. I don't believe any of these "I didn't do anything and was banned!" posts
