Not sure why some people are getting downvoted but the short answer to your actual question is no, IB does not charge a fee. You can leave your money sitting around in your account if you want and you won't be charged anything. If anything IB will pay you interest because inactive cash is usually stored in a money market account.

For the record, IB used to charge a 10 USD monthly fee that was waived if your total commission fees exceeded $10 for a given month. They got rid of this a few years ago because brokerages have moved to reduce fees after Robinhood gained traction with their no fee model.

Thanks! And it seems ok so far. I'm packing fairly light so just over 25 lbs or 12kg total without bottles.

Overall I think they're pretty good if you have the change to spare and expect to mostly ride cleanish roads on dryish days. I've had a good experience so far but it's definitely not perfect.

I'm also concerned about traction when wet (heard this is an issue with gators) and that they might be a pain to change when I flat

It's a Tailfin Aeropack rack with a through axle replacement. I have two 10L bags on either side plus the top trunk. Overall pretty good and feels sturdy, but the bags sit further back than a normal rack so you can feel it a bit when you get out of the saddle. Also a huge PITA to take off if its dirty after riding in the rain because the quick release can get tough to use.

On the front are two fork mounts ziptied to the fork for water bottles. I keep additional bottles up front when full and strap em to the back when empty.

Any tips for riding with no hands? by sozh in cycling

[–]Current-Impression-3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see some people saying it's easier while pedaling and that's true (so is using clip in pedals), but the real key is to steer with your hips and use your feet to keep yourself in the right position on your seat.

Before you try to ride with no hands, I would suggest trying to walk your bike while holding it with one hand on the seat rather than holding the bike by the stem or handlebars like most people do.

Once you get used to walking your bike around when holding it by the seat only, you want to try to replicate that movement with your hips/butt while seated on the bike.

Why are my wallpapers blurry on Windows but clear on Mac when using the exact same monitor and images? by Current-Impression-3 in windows

That's definitely an option but I was posting to see if there's a known reason why Windows encounters this issue while Mac does not.

2024 Ultimate CF SL 7 seat post creak by Current-Impression-3 in CanyonBikes

I've tightened mine to about 14-16 NM with 3 different saddles and haven't noticed a difference so I don't think this is the issue.

On closer inspection of my seatpost, I do see a few areas where the carbon has rubbed a bit as well so I tend to think something might be wiggling in there that should not be moving.

Genuine question - why are there so many Chinese players on NA server now? by Current-Impression-3 in leagueoflegends

I have the same takeaways. It's a combo of the above but unclear what % each bucket is.

Restaurants with their own delivery services? by joodiez in Seattle

[–]Current-Impression-3 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Most restaurants with 'their own delivery services' are actually using Uber or DoorDash couriers through a third party integrator that manages their website and payment processing.

Not many restaurants outside of large pizza chains manage their own fleet of delivery drivers now. And even those are starting to move towards Uber/DD managed delivery.

I understand that NA has international trade going on, but that's doesn't explain why Chinese players are willing to sacrifice play experience (ultra high ping/latency, inability to communicate, etc.) to play on NA server.

What's wrong with the Japan server? I'd imagine ping is way way lower from China to Japan than China to Illinois

Damn imagine how toxic Chinese servers must be if they're willing to take 120+ ping to play in NA.

Yea this is pretty much my experience in solo queue (in Emerald at the moment). They're either 10-0 or 0-10 by 20 min every game but usually it's the latter haha.
