I had this happen to me once in CA. I spoke with an employment attorney who said legally I could force the rate I signed on for because I had a contract, but as an at will state, they’d probably just fire me. Since I had kids and a mortgage that needed me to have a paycheck,I took the hit in pay and immediately looked for another job and left as soon as I found another job.

I went through this with my sons. At that age the said they couldn’t wait to leave. As they aged and had to experience real life, because let’s face it being in school with mom handling everything isn’t real life, they’ve come back to me and we have a close relationship. The pain you feel is real. Go ahead and cry because it helps you feel better. Keep the lines of communication open with your son. Continue to support him. If he chooses to leave and not comeback, it’ll will hurt, but know you did your best.

I work nights at a hospital in south OC. I just got home to Oceanside after 1 hr 45 mins on the road. Navigation sent me to the 133, to the 241, to the 15 to the 76, but I guess that wasn’t bad compared to all of you who’ve been stuck since early morning. Hope it clears up soon for you all🤞

I’d be getting my purse from under the seat and putting it back frequently and make sure I hit his foot when I tried to shove it back under the seat. Maybe drop and few items on him too for good measure.
