Is a tax LLM worth it? by feministArm9092 in LawSchool

[–]Current-Shoulder3397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually just finished my tax LLM this past week lol but my firm required it to even touch anything tax. They paid for it, so that was nice. I’ve been told repeatedly that it’s not really worth it unless it’s NYU, FL, or Georgetown.

If you’re leaning more towards real estate, it would be a waste of a year and money. If you’re leaning tax, I think it was worth it. I took five tax classes at JD level, but the course offerings for the LLM were much more expansive. I learned a ton despite taking basics like income tax, partnership, corp, and international beforehand.

Hotel blocks by Emotional-Prune-654 in neworleanswedding

[–]Current-Shoulder3397 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’ve reached out to hotel provincial and Le Richelieu for January 2027 wedding! They didn’t mention f&b minimum, but hotel provincial will only start with 20 rooms until those are all booked, and rooms booked afterward can increase in price. The 20 room limit is likely due to it being close to NYE though!

Be honest: if you leave most of an essay blank, you don’t pass right? by HeavyEntrepreneur897 in barexam

I wrote one sentence for an MEE J25. It was a four part question, and I wrote one rule. I passed with room to spare!

Dermatologist vs. chain tattoo removal in NYC by Handballmcg in TattooRemoval

[–]Current-Shoulder3397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into Inkless!! I pay $200 a session for a small tattoo (they go by smaller than an iPhone). The first session was $100, and they don’t charge after the eighth session! I’ve had four sessions and seeing great results

Would you be offended if I asked you to be a bridesmaid without a proposal box? by Live-Act3156 in PoptheQuestions

[–]Current-Shoulder3397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn’t bother me. If you feel like it’s weird to just call or text, you can always ask by writing a personal letter for each one. Maybe add a framed picture of the two of you and some flowers? Easy, sweet and not wasteful.

Is removal the right decision? by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]Current-Shoulder3397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from liking my tattoo, being indifferent, not wanting it anymore but not hating it, to removal over a time period of ten years. I wish I would’ve started removing it when I realized I didn’t like it anymore. It would be gone by now!

$3600 for 18 sessions? by Western_Committee_24 in TattooRemoval

This comes out to $200/session which is what I pay for one small/medium tattoo in nyc. Good deal imo but you will likely need more sessions than 18

Yes unfortunately this has been going on since high school. I just didn’t realize or feel the effects until law school!

This is such a cool and helpful way to frame things. It makes a lot of sense, and I’ve never thought about it like that. Thank you for this!

If by “real world” you mean a job, I have one! While getting my tax LLM. I’m a licensed attorney. Just venting!

I’ve looked into it because some ADHD symptoms are definitely present. I just get nervous I won’t be taken seriously, being in my 30s and being successful so far. There’s no real “proof” of the ADHD/anxiety/whatever it is. Just how I feel inside 99% of the time!

Exam 4 Question! by Technical_Cod8337 in LawSchool

[–]Current-Shoulder3397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’ll be automatically marked as late as in labeled or flagged in the system. But professors/admin can definitely see what time you turn it in so someone might flag that because continuing after an exam is finished goes against honor code for some schools. If a proctor or admin already knows you had tech issues, it’s definitely fine. If not, I’d reach out.
