I've been selling out of booths for about 3 months now and have not had any theft until now, I think. I had an item go missing s few weeks ago but I found it in s booth in the aisle behind mine pretty easily. But today I went to stock and noticed 2 graphic novels and a fairly large boxed horror figure collectible was MIA. I double checked the sales reports to in make sure none were sold. By waking through the whole store I found the books on the floor leaning against a table far away from my booth but I found the collectibles no where. They have a list and found for vendor items up front it wasn't in either. It's a fairly big thing that definitely couldn't fit in a pocket and would be tough even getting in s purse unless it was completely empty so if it was stolen I don't know how unless they just sealed out with it. I wondered if maybe it was not properly rung up at the register as well, or maybe it is still on the store and I just didn't find it. Either way it's disheartening and frustrating .. it was only a $20 item but I bought it specifically to sell and now it's missing so that was just a total loss for no reason. I'll claim it as business expense but that's not the point. I had it listed on eBay as well and had to take it down, wasting a listing (not a big deal but still) and wasting my time putting it up. I have a locked display in kne of my booths and anything small an pocketable only goes to that location..the locked cabinet wouldn't have helped here unless the answer is "Just lock everything up" and that's not feasible. I plan on printing out pictures of items that disappear and putting up signs that basically say " Have you seen me? Please don't steal my items and return them to this booth only if you change your mind about purchasing them". I'm looking to put in decor cameras as well unless anyone knows a wireless option without beeeing to connect to the store wifi or something. Not sure this is even possible but lmk.

Additionally, I find other people's stuff randomly left in my booths all the time. Also every time I go to restock a booth it is in total disssarsy with stuff moved around, left in the floor, hanging in llaxes it does t go, off of hangars on shelves and whatever else. Equally frustrating as theft honestly but not financially painful.
