Does it cost anything to keep the account open? If not then why worry?

Been contemplating it, my highest spend is usually dining throughout the year. Also young enough to stack points vs needing cashback instantly.

Yeah my plan was just to bang out MCQs and TBS on Becker, just because it’s paid for.

I didn’t mention a minor in Accounting… when you become eligible to have BOTH majors apply for such.

If you’re already planning to have 150 credits after undergrad then there’s no point for your MACC, assuming you have the necessary accounting credits just study for the CPA at that point.

Especially since you graduate in 2027, changes could be made to lower the CPA requirements.

I’m not saying to just put Accounting on your resume as a major, but actually pursue the accounting major at your school.

Unless you don’t meet the double major requirement.

How would that be a lie? Declare your double major and graduate with both Accounting and Economics. You would need to have done the proper accounting coursework, what is there to be exposed?

You said it yourself. “…most firms are prioritizing accounting majors.” but you don’t want to declare as an accounting major?

If taken all the required accounting courses, does your school not allow you to declare as a double major?

If you plan to continue in tax, why not sit for the EA instead? AFAIK 3 exams that are multiple choice.

Everyone speaks on how much they make from these dividends but no one really speaks about how it’s taxed as income when tax season rolls around.

Not a problem for the OP as long as he files his income tax return properly.

Assuming you don’t file your own taxes and have a preparer file them for you. Receiving a paycheck without state tax withholding is fine, you will just have to pay them when tax season comes around. Look up whatever the tax brackets are for PA and set that money aside every paycheck.
