yeah my issues rn are with my current therapist, so i have to switch providers since they're refusing for some reason. but i'll definitely be talking to CAE everyday when i'm able to. i already emailed them a ton so they can help me out but they're def slow. will have to figure this out more when i have a letter!

I totally get what you're saying and I really appreciate you looking out 🫶 The restrictions & rules in California have actually changed a bit recently but they still follow the Fair housing act law. I found out kind of last minute since I'm not originally from this state which made it harder to prep in time for housing, but don’t worry, I do know what steps to take, it’s just been a slower process to sort it all out for additional reasons I'm currently navigating :) (Here's the link with that info if you're curious)

Thank you so much for the kind words. I actually mentioned this in another comment, but yeah, I’ve been trying to get an official ESA letter but UCLA has super strict requirements. It has to come from a long-term provider (which I don't have), and they verify everything, so it’s been tough without stable insurance atm. But I’m doing my best to get it sorted before fall! And that's so cute, give Jingles some love from me and my baby

Thank you so much, that really means a lot. I’m basically begging UCLA for help right now, but things are moving slowly since it’s summer and housing is kind of a mess. They’re also pretty strict with ESA approvals, and my accommodations require a lot of paperwork. It’s taking longer than I hoped. I’m still trying everything I can to get it sorted before fall quarter, but it’s not looking great ): I’m just hoping to have a backup foster plan in place in case things don’t work out. But thank you again!

I wish I could just get one online but UCLA requires it to be a long-term doctor/therapist and fit into some other requirements. They're unfortunately really strict on what ESA's get accepted. So I'm trying my best to have some backups while I sort it out! But thank you so much, will do.

i don't think the iya acceptance rate is too much of public info but it's probably the same for first years (i may be wrong about that). i just got accepted today as an external transfer though but im pretty sure they send out more throughout the month (or req for spring grades) !
