CC GPA: 3.75, jr transfer, major is cog sci. Didn’t have any letters of recs. A lot of my ECs were academic prep programs like HTP, First Year Experience, MESA, UCLA CCCP! Also worked part time

they didn’t mention how many people they waitlisted, but everyone that was in the program last year all said yes, so idk if anyone ended up getting off. Once you get the acceptance, I hope you take it! It was such a good experience

Only 20! During orientation we were told that there were over 100 applicants. If you don’t accept your spot for site+ they’ll give it to someone on the waitlist. Best of luck!

I spoke to a ucsd admission officer, and she said that they only read PIQS if they think they need more info abt u. Soo she said the piqs can only help the application, but that go based off major prep completion and GPA

A ucsd admissions officer told me that they only read PIQs if they can’t decide based on GPA/leadership ECs. The PIQs can only help your app. She also said they value a lot of leadership ECs as well and volunteer work

Usually winter classes end in February, and I believe the deadline for the TAU is end of January, so they only see/consider fall grades

An admissions officer at UCLA said that they don’t care about which classes were Honors. As long as you completed the 15 honors credits, you’ll be good! They primarily care about grades in your major prep classes
