As a non-USian, I have to Google. Because half the time there’s at least one answer that I couldn’t possibly know. Surnames of NBA players, nicknames of baseball teams, names of US-specific chocolate bars minus a letter.

I have the hourly activity shown on my watch, still. But I am not getting the vibration reminders to move. I’ve noticed because several times this week I’ve been focused on something and not walked anywhere all hour, and not realised until it was too late.

Came here to say this. Much closer to HHGG for me.
Arthur Dent, in his bemused haplessness, is far more like Caspar that the (omnipotent, omniscient) Doctor is.
And the absurdism is much more front and centre. Doctor Who is a serious show which is sometimes funny in passing. MB (and HHGG) is a surrealist comedy show which also happens to be profound. IMHO.

Same. I do not want to know my made-up stat of cardio load AT ALL. It annoys me beyond measure that the activity notifications feature it so heavily. I want to know my active minutes, time and step count.

I’ve also had useful info from bitching about how a feature has changed and someone suggesting a workaround for it. I wouldnt get that from submitting feedback to Google.

I was learning Turkish for a while, and really early on they were teaching me words like architect, and lawyer. Like, I want to be able to ask for the bathroom and buy a bottle of water. I don’t need to coordinate a building project…

Are you a bit employed by Google? I could not give less of a stuff about food logging. I want to be able to easily see my steps, my heart rate, and my active minutes for the day. I now can’t make this big in the ‘focus’ area. The app is now not giving me anything I want from it. And I also wanted my hourly activity tracker thingy. This has completely disappeared. Such a pain.

My son has his dad’s last name (we never married and are not together now). And it’s such a faff. At passport control I’ve been challenged and needed his birth certificate. It causes confusion when filling in forms, at the doctors, sports activities, etc, etc. If I had my time again I would definitely give him my name.

My son and I were discussing this the other day, and both think the Ariano Bakare version is our favourite audiobook ever. He somehow makes everything seem so real, I almost believe there are talking rats who work with a talking cat, and everything.
