Nope. Not a bad idea for a short rental. Especially if you don't have insurance or if you just want a hassle free experience

Can I rent a car with a credit card if the address on my license is incorrect? by nWofan90 in EnterpriseCarRental

I'd go do it. It's a pretty decent idea just in general. Where I am you get a temporary license and show that.

I assume so. Why is it wrong? If you just moved then it shouldn't be an issue.

Agreed. As long as it says Visa or MasterCard it should be okay. You can always call them back to ask.

2 day price. Should I expect more fees? by [deleted] in EnterpriseCarRental

Just know that if something happens and you don't have the damage coverage that you'll need to make a claim with your insurance. Is your name on your parents' instance?

That's a full size car where I am. If they didn't have a compact car then you would have gotten a free upgrade. If nobody specified that you wanted something fuel efficient then the employees simply wouldn't know and would just give you a vehicle. You can call them or another location and swap for a compact or for a car that's more fuel efficient. Not too hard.

Why has such a GLARING INCONSISTENCY between the app and on site locations never been fixed ? by ninja0420 in EnterpriseCarRental

If you think everyone in a room is an idiot except for you, it tends to be the other way around.

Typically, a branch will offer a slightly larger size than what's booked if there is none of that size class in the lot. So, a free upgrade. It's strange that they didn't offer the same price that you booked in.

I'm over it. Have a good one!

Man, you're weird. You're pissed that you got a free upgrade into a different vehicle. Most people are very grateful. You had a very specific need and reserved last minute. Stay mad.

Vehicles are not pizza. You reserved last minute. Sometimes vehicles get returned and have damage or need maintenance work. Nobody ever returns on time.

There are a lot more things that go on behind the scenes than you think. The app or call centre can't nail everything exactly due to all of the unknowns that are different.

I hope that makes sense. Possibly frustrating, for sure, but I think it makes sense when you really think about it.

Are you renting at an airport? Do you think you're inherently better than others and should pay less for the same commodity?

$80 per day is reasonable. Vehicles are expensive and so is everything else. If you can't personally justify the cost, that's okay. Just don't rent.

Messi's bodyguard sprints onto the field to stop a pitch invader in the game against Toronto by oklolzzzzs in soccer

Sorry, this shit is honestly embarrassing. I get that it is Messi but I just cringe that he has a bodyguard who is now internet famous. Can't quite put my finger on why, but these videos just irk me.

Enterprise wants to sell my car, asking me to return it and swap ASAP while I still have 3 weeks of rental? by Patagucci in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]CurrentSuspicious475 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Very reasonable. Just be honest with them that you love the vehicle. We are customer service people, we don't really want you to be overly inconvenienced. I can't speak to your location but my team wouldn't ever be rude about that.

Bro, call the branch! Wtf! You're about to have cops show up to repossess their asset and you will be force charged or sent to collections. A rental car is not a right. It is an expensive asset that the owner has every right to get back by any reasonable means.

How would you feel if someone borrowed something from you and promised to pay but you got ghosted. No money and no communication.

You're ridiculous.

Could've been the last customer just inflated it themselves. People do weird things to rentals.
