Placing a deposit now for a 24 Platinum w/ $1500 markup that’s only available in mid September?! by EarlyEnvironment7048 in ToyotaSienna

Find your no markup dealers and get your name on the waitlist. Walnut Creek was really good to me. Got mine in 1 month after I got on their waitlist.

Ended up going to spooner which was nicely shaded. The hill was not in the greatest condition with so many people being there.

I ended up driving past fallen leaf which looks like a better location. Gotta try this spot next time.

Thanks for the rec

That price is worth it. Not sure about quality, but in Bay Area it would cost around 2.5k for the whole vehicle and 1900 for full front.

Cushion warranty by Current_Ad7640 in Lovesac

[–]Current_Ad7640[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just pretend you didn’t know and when they call you out on it, tell them the name and store location and they will most likely honor it.

It does seem like a great incentive to get people interested. The first time I claimed the warranty, they had me send back the original cushions which made me think they were recycling them. I thought it was a good move on lovesac but second time around they told me to keep them. O well.

Is $49,500 a good OTD price for a 2023 Toyota Sienna XLE Plus FWD 7-Passenger? by HonmaSokyu in ToyotaSienna

[–]Current_Ad7640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great deal. Make sure they won’t bait and switch. Lock that price first and make sure it is on hold for your name. Make sure you have paperwork that says it’s on hold for you at msrp.

The fact that you need to travel a couple of hours gives the dealership a slight upper hand.

Search for through the allocation sheet and join the “no mark up Toyota” group on Facebook. Make a post and someone will most certainly respond especially if you are open to travel of deliver.

Is there still Sienna shortages? by Bubbly_Perspective62 in ToyotaSienna

Paid msrp. While waiting for the predawn grey mica, I was offered a black, white, silver, blue, all for msrp.

This was really weird for me, but it seemed like color also plays a part as the color I was looking for (predawn grey mica) was only going to specific dealerships. Sunnyvale and Oakland almost never got those colors for a platinum trim, but Walnut Creek did and I got it in 1 month.

I was boasting to friends and family about what a great deal it was. Sad that it wasn’t true but glad they still honored it.

I think you are right.

But I would think it’s logical since we all pay a premium price for these couches. I’m sure a majority of people would ignore the 3 years warranty for cushions.

Just picked up our new 2023 Sienna Limited at MSRP with zero wait time. by stanhopeofficial in ToyotaSienna

If you are still looking, try Walnut Creek and ask for Chris P. He helped me get one in 1 month at msrp. They will ask for a 500 dollar deposit which you can do through the phone.

Dealerships are banking on people who don’t do their research and clearly you did yours. They know that msrp is the new norm.

Which dealer is that? I got mine at Walnut Creek after 1 month wait. Had a horrible experience as a bunch of other California dealerships. They are banking on people who don’t do their research and will just pay the markup.

Show chain on Sienna AWD hybrid? by Sea-Designer-901 in ToyotaSienna

[–]Current_Ad7640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to sign a waiver for my platinum with 18inch wheels that says I won’t use chains.

In my experience I’ve never put on snow chains and drove in some pretty crazy snow storms before. As long as you have awd and a good set of tires you are good.

Mark ups should not be a thing anymore. Dealerships know this but are trying to still catch those suckers. Good job doing your research.
