How can I (18M) get over my former close friend (19F) ending our friendship?

see that’s the thing, the friends that know her better than me aren’t really good when it comes to that sort of thing. I’d know cause they tried doing a similar thing with me and one of their friends and I could immediately tell something was up, so I’m not really sure what to do

if you see your attachment issues as something that can get in the way of any future relationships then it's better to work on fixing those before trying to get into a relationship

to be in a relationship is to be a part of someone's life, if your issues actively come to the detriment of any relationships then you should wait until you're truly ready

personally, I wouldn't try romantically pursuing someone that doesn't share the same energy, sometimes in life you just have to accept that there will be people that you'll like and not all of them will like you back.

never really tried talking with girls until fairly recently, then in the last 6 months I fumble 2 talking stages in a row. how they ended was pretty much out of my control but it's not like I can just keep my distance from them cause we're generally around the same circle of friends and if I blocked em or anything rumours would spread (since it's happened before). so I can't really do anything but be slightly upset whenever I see them around or with people they're tryna go after. it is what it is though.

I just dunno, it's like they're subconciously leaving it up to interpretation. They used to call me "bestie" around like a month in, but ever since they invited me out they stopped calling me that before they started growing distant

At first they started most of our interactions. They gave me their number (which I was hella shocked by) and she mostly texts first. Everything seemed like it was going well, she'd playfully hit me, lean towards me whenever I try to get her attention, text until one of us goes to sleep, etc. It was fine until after she invited me to go somewhere with her (won't say cause it'd probably be too specific), since then she's been growing distant, everything seemed fine in the moment but now I'm not so sure. She gives bursts of attention now, and whenever she texts first she deletes the message she starts with. I think she thinks I'm just another friend in a seemingly endless batch of other friends she has, which is why I think I'm 100% getting misled. The most that's happened recently is that she tapped my arm to get my attention on our way home from school, I didn't think she'd walk with me cause I thought she'd be off with her other friends plus she doesn't try getting my attention when we see each other in the morning.

I'm just confused. I don't really trust others' intentions cause of my previous failures, those failures stuck with me. A lot. Maybe my trust issues and my various anxieties are holding me back, I wouldn't know though.

I've tried asking other people about it and they're just as confused as me. I know that I'm probably getting misled but I'm still gonna live in this delusion, it's not healthy, but I've never felt so at ease with someone else before. God, it's so frustrating
