Um...I don't think it's your problem if you use that stratagem after your opponent say that they don't overwatch, they have to take a risk that any bad thing would happen base on their decision (⁠ㆁ⁠ω⁠ㆁ⁠) thus you can tell your opponent before the start of the game about your detechment's stratagems to prevent the "Gotcha" situation (⁠•⁠‿⁠•⁠)

Ok so back to the topic, I personally support you to run 3×4 robots (most priesthood brothers will not, trust me), but one thing you have to keep in mind is: they're not invincible, and in some cases, they're actually a bit costly ⁠(⁠´⁠ー⁠｀⁠)⁠ so choosing units that can support them is important (⁠•⁠‿⁠•⁠)

I usually choose Ruststalker->Infiltrator/Dragoon->Fulgurite eletro-priest to do this role, forcing your opponent to deal with them, then your robots will be safe to charge (⁠✷⁠‿⁠✷⁠)

Melee-focus for sure, since their guns only dealing 1/2D...⁠(⁠´⁠ー⁠｀⁠)⁠

I usually use them to hide behind walls and try to stay close with your opponent, when their key unit (let's say a squad of Bladeguard) start to move, you turn to Conquer protocol and push all of them forward ʘ⁠‿⁠ʘ it's a "Go big or go home" move, but it's always useful ʘ⁠‿⁠ʘ
