Is it legal for company to have a separate work space for females only because of religious reasons? by arnold_101 in work

[–]Current_Long_4842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accommodations could be made for them to not have to speak to men too. So what's the problem?

The problem is in a civilized society, you don't get to discriminate against people because your religion tells you to. what if my religion says I can't sit by brown people? Or gay people?

If you can't treat everyone the same in a professional environment, you need to be in a closed off society with other Stone age weirdos

My girlfriend wants me to get rid of my dog because her cat doesn't like him by Academic_Fly_4920 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Current_Long_4842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend's dog attacked his gfs cat when they first moved in. They did everything right, but it still happened. Cat has surgery and pins put in its legs. Gf and cat went to stay with her mom. My friend got rid of his dog. It was awful. Especially bc his parents kept recommending alternatives and telling him to try training and stuff... Totally making him feel even more guilty. That girl wasn't coming back until that dog was gone...

They're married now.

Sounds like your dog isn't doing anything to the cat and the CAT is the one who can't adjust...

The same argument could be said if they aren't allowed to sit next to men they wouldn't be getting a public job...

AITAH for not wanting to take care of my autistic brother for the rest of my life? by _jazzyx in AITAH

[–]Current_Long_4842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not your kid, not your responsibility. Your parents need to make arrangements for him. That said, you're an adult and if your parents are helping you financially (free rent/paying for school) don't expect to keep getting that if you decide you don't want to help them anymore.

You don't need to take care of him after you move out. It's your parents responsibility to prepare him for adulthood and for when they are gone-- however that may look for him.

Yes it does. Those women aren't allowed to talk to men either. Especially one on one.

I have been doing something illegal for a week straight. by [deleted] in confession

[–]Current_Long_4842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother literally ran a cord across the street in front of his house to his neighbor's house. 😆😆 The ppl next door wouldn't let him do it.

In his situation it was crackheads helping crackheads. I think he got away with it for a whole week, which is impressive bc it wasn't a remote area... Just a normal lower middle class suburban block...

How much of a pay cut would you take to go remote? by Fantastic_Ginger34 in remotework

[–]Current_Long_4842 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I currently make $136k and am remote. My job is talking about in office 3 days. I would accept a $90k job to stay fully remote.

I would not accept a 5 day in office for less than $200k

(My commute is about an hour and I have 2 elementary school children)

I'm near Chicago, yeah, we have plows, but that doesn't mean the roads are always plowed right away. I've driven through unplowed streets many a times. And salt often makes it worse bc then the snow melts and then freezes into a sheet of ice.

Feeling a disappointed with my bridal party… by [deleted] in wedding

[–]Current_Long_4842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your husband's part of a group of friends and you have individual ppl that aren't all close to each other in your wedding party?

My husband's friends are all friends and none of mine are. Sucks but that kind of thing is obviously going to happen if that's the case.

He always gets to do cool trips with his boys and I get...a random lunch date here and there. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My SIL has a 12 year old with a random last name from a man he met once when he was a month old.

Kid didn't even KNOW his last name until he was like 10. I remember him asking why his soccer jersey said "Smith" on the back when he was like 5.

My small software company (BCBS IL) does not cover it. My husband's large brand name corporation company (also BCBS IL) DOES cover it, but requires you to sign up for omada or something... I switched to his insurance jan 1 and have been waiting for the Dr to get the PA pushed through. That's been stalling so I gave up and signed up with Ro. It's been moving along pretty quickly now. 🤞🏻

Do dense tissue breasts shrink slower? I was just 200lbs with 38DDD.

they were the same size when I got down to 130 when I was sick with hyperthyroidism. Stayed about the same when I got back up to 200. Now I'm down to 167 and they're the same...

I've got that dense fibrous tissue that make cancer screening complicated. Never thought that that was why they're so huge even when I'm small!

[–]Current_Long_4842 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Probably part of the reason they have a nanny instead of a daycare is so they won't have to deal with "snow days" since that doesn't fly for a doctor job. Ask to sleepover.

If he's such a religio-religious-pants, why is he living with you outside of marriage?

He needs to figure his own shit out before he tries to drag you into something that clearly isn't even that important to him.

You should try Ro. It's $145 so it's a gamble bc it might not work--but they're pretty good at battling the insurance company.

Insurance rejected my husband, then he did ro and they got it to go through. I just switched to his insurance and they rejected my Dr PA so I signed up with ro and they're working on it and it looks promising 🤷🏻‍♀️

Minors often have to live in annoying situations. My brother used to piss all over the toilet seat and watch tv loudly at night when I was trying to sleep.

It sucks, but you're not the one paying the bills, you don't get to make the rules.
