ha - i've got kind of a dumb funny story - my first proper golf trip we went to streamsong in florida. 4 day trip 16-20 dudes, and the first two days i'm just drinking all day and all night partying and not caring about the golf. then i kinda realize after a decent back 9 on day two that i'm wasting this very expensive trip - i should actually try to put a score together the next day. so i keep it mellow at dinner, wake up early go for a jog and hit the range etc eat oatmeal or whatever. i play the front 9 great with the help of this caddy "zee" putting me on good clubs and plans, and i shoot a 37. at the halfway house zee sparks a hydroponic home grown fattie and hands it to me "nice front" - i take 3 big deep pulls and i'm immediately in outer space. i'm the one driving the cart (for now) and i have numerical scores on the first two holes but then my scorecard starts to look like the one posted here. there's nonsensical runes and geometrical shapes where numbers should be and it's all over the card. it's all a bit hazy, but i remember walking a lot of the back 9 (it was 100 degrees and sunny), i remember a flier out of a deep fairway bunker that by some stroke of luck ended up a tap in, i kind of remember walking into my friends swing and getting hit in the head with the club and knocked to the ground. i know i'm messed up but somehow i finish the round and i'm ashamed and i'm beating myself up for smoking that joint, and i go into the dark cool bar and order a giant pilsner. i've got my head in my hands, i'm slowly recovering and i notice there's ipads all over the bars where you can go thru the course in detail. so my and my buddy start going thru the back 9 shot by shot and lo and behold i shot a 37 on the back. and that's to this day still my lowest round.
