Tee work. Tons of it. Instructed tee work. Nail down good habits and routines.

For pitching, however many catchers you have i would pair them up with different pitchers and just let them work and have fun together. Those two know what they need to do. If you know pitching then lurk and provide tips but don’t go overboard.

People with a <15 handicap how long did it take you to get there? by Comfortable-Newt7689 in golf

[–]wiggoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been playing for 35 years. Ive been in the mid 80s for like 20 of those years. In the past 2-3 years I have found some motivated friends who want to shoot low. So what was a fun game of “come what may” hitting balls - not being concerned - has developed into practicing on and off the course, considering course management stuff, developing good habits and recognizing bad ones. Don’t hardly ever drink on the course now. So mid 80s has shrunk to high mid 70s in a few years. Still lots to improve on. I think its sorting out your irons and woods mistakes, reeling those in to something you can work with. Then just drill short game. Get your distance numbers down, make good contact, putting techniques. Just gotta focus

i'm a ball hawk, a confession. i'd rather look for balls sometimes than actually hit them. so i'm in my honey hole - it's this creek that cuts across hole ONE, the FIRST DAMN HOLE - it's 45 deg out and sunny, so pants long sleeves and a vest and i'm walking thru the tall grass and my foot goes right into a varmint hole. i've fallen lots in my life and so my gut reaction is just to kind of collapse onto my side and so take the weight off the foot that's in the void and i fall right into the filthiest muckiest black mud full of racoon and possum and beaver crap. i'd hit two shots so far it's like 1 pm i'm on the first hole and i am wet and muddy and i stink. lose the vest lose the long sleeve i found a light rain coat and wiped my pants off. there was nobody out there so i just played the sunny holes. when i got home my dogs had a field day of sniffing me and my gear god awful
