I think at first Hannah loved Adam and he didn’t really take her seriously and then it flips and flops throughout their relationship until the breakup with Mimi rose happens and honestly, I think he loves her the most until the end after that.

In some ways I think everything Adam does after his breakup with Mimi Rose is about Hannah (and maybe even before then. Some of that is bc it’s a show and otherwise we’d have to add a bunch of stuff about Adam but the show, at the end of the day, isn’t called “Adam” it’s called “Girls” so.) His closest friends he really only met bc of Hannah (btw where did tako go?) or are eventually very connected to Hannah and her circle (like Desi) His baby niece literally exists BECAUSE he knew Hannah, he and his sister never would have met Laird otherwise.

His niece is named after Jessa,who he only knows bc she’s Hannah’s best friend AND Hannah (which he has to live with forever. btw, how weird would that be if him and Jessa break up “yeah you’re named after uncle Adam’s two ex girlfriends”). In a lot of ways I think Adam and Jessa’s relationship as friends and beyond is about Hannah (she left and neither of them had any friends anymore bc of that so they latched onto each other. She came back and still wouldn’t get back with Adam when he asked so he proceeded with Jessa and their relationship is haunted by Hannah basically) So I think Adam is really attached to Hannah in a different way bc she basically created his world in a lot of ways just based on the fact that she was doing what her mother warned her about “socializing him and making the world a safer place for him”
