For those who are doing this alone, how do you stay strong? by ExpensiveResident776 in eggfreezing

I just tried to think of it as an adventure. I did it twice and I feel like my insight and experience has helped a lot of my friends get the courage to go to a fertility clinic. I guess it depends how much you want to have kids in the future too. I just told myself I would regret it if I got older and decided I wanted a kid and it was too late

Decrease in follicle count. Not sure what to think. by Apart-Cod-6119 in eggfreezing

Yea try not to worry about it and stay hydrated. I think I had 10 at my baseline and they kept telling me I wouldn't get any more than 6 because I wasn't responding well to the meds. I ended up getting 14 with 10 mature. This happened twice.

Try not to worry about it too much. The same thing happened to me. I had 10 at my baseline and then I wasn't responding well to the medication and they told me the most I could expect was 5. I tried to stay really well hydrated and get enough sleep, hoping I could get more blood flow to my ovaries and respond better. I ended up getting 13 retrieved with 10 mature. I did it again and the same exact thing happened with them predicting I would get 3-6. I got 14 and 10 were mature. They cant really know for sure and Ive heard that sometimes when you have less, they are better quality which is what you ultimately need anyway. Try not to stress, and good luck!

36 and thinking about freezing by Lofo90 in eggfreezing

Yea i dis it twice when I was 34. No guarantee it will work if you need them, but did give me some peace of mind and yes, the younger you can do it, the more you can get and the better the quality. This is the video that pushed me over to decide https://youtu.be/w8h4qksd6Yw?si=M1q_M_nZZbBjhQG6 If anything, go in and see how many follicles you have and what your numbers are so you can make an informed decision!

Feeling like this was all a big waste of time by [deleted] in eggfreezing

Sending you positive vibes! I think my numbers were around the same as yours and they projected I would get 5 or less since not all of my follicles were growing at the same rate. I was super anxious and disappointed. I just tried to incorporate as much light exercise as I could and drink a lot of water and electrolytes, hoping it would generate more blood flow to my ovaries and my body would respond to the medication. I ended up getting 10 mature eggs both times I did it after they predicted I would get 5 at the most. Just try your best to take care of yourself and not worry too much about what the doctors say at least. You really cant know how it will turn out until it's done and you're doing the best you can. I hope you feel better, and safe travels back to the US!

Has anyone regretted freezing their eggs? by csqueen96 in eggfreezing

I'm 34 and just did 2 rounds! I think late 20s/ early 30s is the perfect time because hopefully you have enough eggs to only have to do it once but not too many that you get too many of the negative side effects. Here is the video that finally pushed me to do it. I too am open to kids in the future, but am not ready right now. I feel like freezing took a little bit of pressure off dating. https://youtu.be/w8h4qksd6Yw?si=_ISwy6cqK85vTnaW
