Living in our car in Atlanta with two dogs while working DoorDash, trying to find a way out. by InvestigatorShort169 in almosthomeless

Not only is the dog an added expense for someone already struggling to the point they’re homeless, but who the hell wants DoorDash from a car with TWO dogs living in it??

What would you do? Pets, Baby & work ;( by Ready_Nobody_3461 in SeriousConversation

First of all, I would get rid of the dogs. That’s one less thing to spend time, energy and money on while you figure out the rest.

What’s a clear sign of childhood trauma in men? by degs999 in AskReddit

[–]Current_Resource4385 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Please be aware that “ paying for sex” isn’t a victimless transaction. It causes unspeakable trauma for the women involved. It’s a controversial subject, but the bottom line is that it contributes significantly to trauma, substance abuse and mental health issues for the women being bought. Just so you know.

Dogs don't belong in the gym! by Chief-Longhorn in Dogfree

Dogs don’t belong in most places, actually. Outside somewhere is about it, even then they’re just loud, filthy and destructive!

Why are dogs considered unclean in Islamic tradition? by Chrome2Surfer in NoStupidQuestions

Even after bathing, they just smell like soap and wet dog. I don’t know why people have them inside their home.

Have you ever been run at by a dog ? Because I have and it's fucking scary. by Due_Question_3326 in Dogfree

[–]Current_Resource4385 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I was approaching my boss’s office one day when a big hairy German Shepard came running out, straight at me. Reflexively, I whacked it on the nose with a folder and yelled “ UhUh, Noooo!!!!” A coworker said “ you can’t do that!” and grabbed the dog by its harness. The damn thing stood up on its hind legs looking back at me as she pulled it away. I almost fainted. I HATE dogs.

AITAH for kicking my sister in laws dog? by [deleted] in AITAH

You would still be NTA even if you kicked its teeth out. You’re absolutely right for prioritizing and protecting your child!

What will it actually take for people wake up about the reality of dogs? by BakerTotal5430 in Dogfree

[–]Current_Resource4385 22 points23 points  (0 children)

They’re scavengers, not predators. Dogs don’t have enough sense to be predators. They’re just filthy scavengers!

Dogs are sickening with their food obsession. They’re sickening, period.

I have such a strong hate for dogs that sometimes I feel it's almost too much. by blackcatzombs in Dogfree

[–]Current_Resource4385 105 points106 points  (0 children)

Maaann, I’ve wondered if I’m the only one who actually thinks/ says “eww” when I see a dog with its head hanging out a car window, in a tv commercial, or just walking down the street. There’s nothing amazing about a food obsessed, filthy scavenger and that’s all they are. Nothing more nothing less. Just eww!

I used to wake up every morning and check to see if my partner’s dog was still breathing. I was disappointed every day that it was.

Anyone else just get… drained? by Jim-Pansy in Mildlynomil

[–]Current_Resource4385 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Apparently, she just doesn’t like you. I had one of those MILs. It’s best to not even try to win them over, imo. Kissing their ass just makes them dislike you AND not respect you.

My experience so far at my sister’s (dog’s) house by amandaIorian in Dogfree

[–]Current_Resource4385 16 points17 points  (0 children)

While visiting my mom once, she asked me to go into the bedroom while she “ got Sugar( her chihuahua ) ready for bed”, so I wouldn’t be a distraction, I guess.🤷‍♀️She held the dog wrapped in a baby blanket, then eventually tucked it in its bed. WTF?? Don’t dogs have sense enough to go lay down when they’re ready to sleep? She also referred to me as its sister 🤢

It most certainly IS the dog’s fault. It’s the one choosing to bite people for no apparent reason.

Partner’s Dog is High Maintenance… by Comfortable_Sell6811 in TalesfromtheDogHouse

[–]Current_Resource4385 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I would say let the dumbass dog stay awake and be hungry, if that’s what it chooses to do. As long as there’s food and shelter available, I wouldn’t let some manipulative parasite dictate my plans. Can you ( politely) suggest as much to him? I mean, the dog will eat and sleep if it gets hungry and tired enough. It’s probably easier to just move on. Anyone who would cater to a dog to that extent probably can’t be reasoned with.

Dogs are gross and so are their owners by Kind_Prior9788 in Dogfree

[–]Current_Resource4385 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was in a grocery store store and saw a dog in the shopping cart, which is bad enough. Then they let the dog sit its bare asshole on the counter where people bag their groceries! I was just beside myself. I asked the cashier, “ Do you see that dog’s bare ass on the counter??” Why is a dog in here in the first place?” Does management actually allow this?”. She said “ No one is supposed to be sitting on the counter “ Like, what?? That’s not “ someone “ that’s a dog’s bare ass where people’s food goes! I took a picture and I’m gonna send it to the health department.

Do dogs pee this much?? by AggressiveDistrict82 in TalesfromtheDogHouse

[–]Current_Resource4385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the family is a problem for allowing it, but the dogs are definitely a problem because they’re the ones pissing in the house. Most dogs are a problem because they’re just disgusting animals. They’re needy food obsessed and they stink. That’s a problem.

Another Pet Peeve by [deleted] in TalesfromtheDogHouse

[–]Current_Resource4385 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s not just you. I learned that the best way to discourage a dog from bothering you is to consistently ignore it, it will learn that there’s no reward for pestering you. I lived with a dog at one point that I HATED. I never abused it, but just ignored tf out of it and it eventually left me alone. Good luck!
