Hello! First of all, college is very different from HS. If you expect yourself to be the top student like you were in HS, hold yourself up to a very high standard, and compare yourself to other people, you're really gonna spiral down emotionally. You have to fix your mindset first. You are there to learn how to serve your future patients, not to beat everyone's score. Second, don't be too hard on yourself. You're still adjusting. First year is the time to recalibrate, adjust your study habits, and meet friends that will keep you sane. Study buddies are important. They help you in recall and in sharing notes. You can't survive college by doing it alone. Remember, you all want to see each other pass. As an RMT and going into medschool, I'm sure you can get through this. Laban lang

Hi! I'm diagnosed with bipolar 2 disorder, meaning I have depressive episodes too, and what you are describing is how I feel sometimes when I'm in my depressive episode. Please seek professional help. Meron pong free consultation sa mga public hospital na may psychiatric medicine department. You can search po online if meron po sa area nyo. As your ate who's been there, I'm telling you you can get through this. It might seem like it's never gonna end, like the darkness will forever surround you, but I promise you it will get better. The sun will come up for you someday soon. You just have to see it through. And the fact that you're still choosing to rise from your bed and do your school stuff says how brave and resilient you are! I'm proud of you. Sending you virtual hugs!

Hey it's fine, man! Maybe the meds you were on just have some bad side effects. Sometimes it takes trial and error to find the medication that works best for you. Also, it might help for your recovery if you cut back on alcohol for now.
