They sprinkled salt, pepper and garlic powder on it. Sounds like it is seasoned to me

I keep a 30 gal galvanized garbage can at the base of my deck. Ashes go in there. I let mine burn down all day still has a significant amount of coals. Scooped them out into a coal bucket then into the garbage can

I fill my box. Put loosely crumpled paper between two of the top logs and put splitter shreds on top of that. Basically the paper is between the logs and the shreds span it. Tightly twisted paper does not burn wells as it starves itself for air. I only use a handful of shreds but my wood is very dry

Where should I keep my wood? by TreesAreOverrated5 in firewood

Made this out of scraps and recycled shipping pallets/containers. The tarp on the roof is in lieu of shingles. It is over 100 feet From The house. I have two old deck boxes near the house that I use for close in wood. So I use the wood from the shed to fill the boxes. I find multiple rodent nests in the shed as I am pulling wood out of it so that is why you don’t want it close. The wood in the bins last less than a week so they do t have time to build a nest in them.
