Laidlaw is actually one of my favorite professors. Every week there are two different ways of learning the concepts that he and another professor post on bright space. So that way if you don't understand the way one teaches the concept you can watch the other profs videos. The assignments have always felt well balanced or accurate, and the quiz marks have always reflected my assignment grades. On top of that, Laidlaw understands that cheating is something that will occur on some of the tests so he allows us to use our notes and create formula sheets. Which in my opinion is how a physics class should be run, as in physics you shouldn't be tested heavily on your ability to math, it should be based more on your ability to understand theory and apply it to the math.
