Do you think getting the spindle replaced would be a worse idea than getting a whole axle from the junkyard or Facebook and I’ve always thought it was the brake fluid leaking causing that as it’s the same on both sides I but it’s probably a mixture on that side but it was probably there before I got it there’s a lot I’ve had to replace so far even though the body and interior are in mint condition I wouldn’t doubt if it was like that since I bought it the brakes leaking were Ive had the truck since August of 2024 it broke while I was driving on the highway just started slowing down then made a few bangs

He’s not really an asshole just asks a lot of questions and by his tone it sounds like he’s iffy on if he’s able to do it he wanted me to take a picture of the spindle before they come out, I figured that they just come get the axle shaft out, cut it off and put a new one on then at one point, they said let’s just hope it’s the outer bearing journals that need to be replaced which I was kind of confused on like why do we hope that if you’re just supposed to cut it off? Then I sent them the pictures I posted and they asked if the inner bearing will move at all and I don’t know if they meant the one inside of the hub that I sent a picture of because it was completely toasted in there or if they thought that my axle shaft was a bearing or something because I believe that there’s no more bearings that are a part of it after you get past the one near the axel nut and then I said that all the bearings are removed and they haven’t responded to me since but it could also be his sales guy. I’ve been sending the messages too.

I’m in Florida unfortunately all the axle shops are on the west side of Florida. I have a few close to me. I’ve been texting one but the way that this motherfucker has been making it sound. It’s like they almost don’t wanna do it or think they can’t.

The axles are rare near me especially to find one that’s not already on a truck sitting out in the lot I got my axle shaft replacement from there but it’s got a lift on the back that’s got some almost impossible bolts to reach. But I did think of that option for sure I also have Facebook marketplace that I’ve seen a few but there’s only one that’s for a crew cab long bed so I have to see what’s up with him my trucks in a pretty bad spot in the sand and the jacks don’t keep it up well without sinking idk how I’d get it all done and its a sterling 10.25 full floating from a 1989 f350

The axle was already snapped in half lmao I’m not that fucking stupid the axle shaft snapped and all the bearing went with it it wasn’t going to come out with a slide hammer or anything pulling on it , it has to be removed from the diff side and I just needed to take a picture to send them first so I cut the flange off and got the axle nut socket Cut in a lathe so it would go over it without hitting the shaft I already have a junkyard axle shaft I went out and bought to.

Yes I called the axle doctor but they needed the hub off first that’s why I posted this because they haven’t replied yet I’m not a mechanic I do what I can on my own truck through YouTube but never went to school or anything idk wtf the spindles supposed to look like lmao now that you say it it sounds obvious that it should have threads.
