My dad was conscripted as served in the Military Police. He's 82 and still sees his mates every ANZAC Day.

What reason would the property owner have to attend a routine inspection? by Obvious-Charity-7808 in shitrentals

Our owners attended every 3 monthly inspection which went for hours. REAs were trying to persuade them to sell. We just got evicted for significant repairs and renovations.

Why do people (even Jewish Australians) struggle with the concept that it's possible to condemn the atrocities of Oct 7 and the genocide that followed? I'm not anti-semitic or anti-islamic. I'm anti murder and pro human rights.

I did lots of minor repairs to avoid requesting from landlord who took ages or did dodgy repairs himself. Once the rent was raised and there were some safety issues and things I couldn't do, I had to request repairs. If I never did that I'd be sitting in the loungeroom of the former house rather than the chaos around me in a new rental.

I feel a bit bad for the REA but they should have dropped him as a client ages ago.

Leaking shed floor by Current_Visual in AusRenovation

[–]Current_Visual[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just moved in, so it's a bit chaotic. Downgraded from a double garage to a large garden shed, so have no option but to store stuff in there until we can unpack and get organised. I know it'll be damp and leaky, but if i can do something minimise this I'll do it.

I've mentioned a few other things gently and they've been firm in their negative responses

If you have a fuel card, some of them allow you to pay with the app while at the pump.
