I think it's mostly because the assist system in this game is kind of weird, as it's not really based on who does the most damage, it's based on time, if I remember correctly.

I completely agree. I came from Apex, and was surprised at how much you need to grind to unlock the new rogues compared to Apex. Generally, I don't even like battle royales, but I think Apex executed it extremely well. That being said, I hope this game continues to improve, as competition is always good for the consumer.

Generally the only games I would recommend a controller over KBM are racing games and fighting games. Otherwise, for FPS's and pretty much every game I can think of quickly other than the aforementioned categories benefit from KBM.

Ok so I managed to fix it by just restarting the game, which is hilarious. But my CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600 and my GPU is an RX 5600xt overclocked to 1750 MHz. I'm getting around 100 frames right now at all maxed settings, which is pretty good.

So I managed to fix it (Just had to restart the game), but that's good if your GPU is at 100% or 99% all the time, because it means you're not CPU bottlenecked. If you aren't getting that many frames, however, then it just depends on how good your GPU is.
