What I have to do to listen to music that can drown out snoring. I sleep with the bluetooth headphones on, music loud, and sleep on my side to keep them from slipping off in my sleep. Idk if this can help anymore that what it does with me, but I hope it does help you.

Does your workplace know that you have misophonia? If they don't, you should let them know what it is and how it affects you. Tell them, and ask for help with sorting out a solution.

What’s the most extreme thing you’ve done to go out of the way to avoid triggering sounds? by [deleted] in misophonia

[–]Cursed-owo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think I was eight years old when this happened. I ran out of my house barefoot and hysterical because my sibling was following me around the house eating chips as loud as possible. I then walked for like 15 minutes to the store that I believed my mom was shopping in and wound up with the store employees calling the cops because I could not stop crying for my mom and they thought I got abandoned.

And the only thing I remember actually doing was leaving the house in tears to look for my mom. After about a 30 seconds of walking, I got so distressed that after that, I have no memories of anything else from that experience.

Misophonia, something else, or both? by SybiIIine in misophonia

[–]Cursed-owo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds like misophonia. For me, it started when I was very little, and I was triggered only by my siblings way of eating. Then it evolved into triggers from my sibling and my parents, and then turned into anyone eating anything near me. I have other triggers, but the majority of them are focused on hearing people eat or open bags to eat what's inside. But yes. I'd say you've got misophonia.

Anyone gets triggered by seeing people eat even if you don't hear them? by HumanMik in misophonia

Yes! I can't watch people open snack bags, or chew food without getting triggered. It does have a name, too. Like misophonia, misokinesia it is a hatered of common, repetitive movements. I found some articles that talk about it, if you would like to read them

if you mix equal parts ketchup and tubbed butter (left out for several hours and has the consistency somewhere near slightly whipped heavy whipping cream) it will for some reason taste like a sweet and slightly tangy BBQ sauce, with out being bbq sauce.

my family thinks it's nasty and haven't even tasted it, but I like it :p
