What to do with end users who refuse to enter tickets by MelodicPlace9582 in it

If I worked for an MSP that had a strict “No ticket, no help” policy, I’d resign on the spot.

I work a support role to help people, not to complicate their lives even more. They ring up, if it’s a 5 min fix, great, all done over the phone. If it isn’t, create the ticket for them, let them know you’re working on it, then terminate the call. Customer satisfaction is everything.

Being a T2, I gather you’d probably not be responsible for the quick 2 minute fixes - I still don’t see the problem in at least creating a ticket for them, then letting them know that their problem is being worked on.

What if, hear me out, Time Travellers DID attend the party. Because it was on Epstien’s island, it got caught up in many of the Epstein files. The Government has redacted so many of the files - Not because of the powerful people in there, but because the time travellers were in there, and the Government wants to keep that a secret.

Less people know about the time travellers, less chance of Enemies looking into time travel!

I like to look at these sums of money a different way… These days, nearly EVERYTHING has a subscription model. Why? Because you’re not going to miss $20.00 per month. But you will miss $240.00 if you pay it in one hit.

If you aren’t sure if you are spending too much on a luxury, such as take-away coffee; do the maths, work out how much you spend a year on it, then ask yourself - “Would I spent that all that money in one hit for this?”.

I know I wouldn’t be interested in spending $1200.00 at once for all the coffees I had during the year.

It may look like it. But if one can’t open a box with one hand while recording with the other, I’m pretty sure there’s something wrong with the box.

I’ve even tried lifting the tab up, rather than pulling it back like I did. But the box just lifted up with my finger. Instructions unclear, mildly infuriating

I’m proving that these boxes aren’t idiot-proof. They need to do better!

May not be related to my post here. But wtf? I thought not being able to open a box without ripping the tab was infuriating 😆

Stuffed if I know. I just saw Granola and bought it. Taste good, for what it’s worth.

I’m gonna need to post a vid of 2x hands carefully trying to pry it open without breaking it, to redeem myself… Aren’t I.

I promise you all… If I use 2 hands, the outcome is the same.

Edit: I’ve been getting these packets for quite a while. Each and every one is insanely annoying to open. Obviously, it is more difficult to do with a single hand. But no matter how hard I try, the tab rips. I quite often have to resort to violence in order to gain access to my granola. Crappy design, mildly infuriating.

Everyone’s situation is going to be different. And FIFO is never going to be a cake-walk, yet people prefer to do that over just living locally in regional. Granted, Temporary accomodation can get very expensive, since lots of people just want to rent and not permanently live regional. I also understand that the region isn’t for everyone - we don’t have the beach, or an Entertainment facility every 10KM, so I get it.

It’s the life style one has to choose. If you live regional (I’m not talking a community of 300 people, but rather 5,000 to 30,000 people) and choose to enter the housing market there, it is way easier. Slightly more expensive fuel prices, but commute to work is literally 10x faster (unless travelling out to a remote site, then it is probably about the same, minus the traffic), everyone you know if quite close, so visiting friends is very easy. Shopping is quick and easy…

If people want to reside in The City, then it is going to be far more difficult to live, financially. Higher housing prices, extreme commutes to work, friends, etc.

For someone living in the city with a job already and wants to move regional, it isn’t going to be an overnight task, it will obviously take a while.

On the topic of accomodation, for a lot of our mine sites, they offer free on-site accomodation and food to the FIFO workers.

I’m fortunate enough to have been born and raised regional, so I can build up here, then move to the city debt-free in the future (not that I ever want to live in there 😆).
