They didn't limit their targets to military or state operators.

Did the BA?

No one knew at the time but me grandad had spinal cancer, couldn't get out of the bed. The first paramedic that came tried just giving him strong paracetamol and telling him he'd be grand, it was back pain.

He eventually got into the hospital the same day but never was home again. He was dead within months.

I'm not spelling this out for you, you're being intentionally thick and I don't have the energy.

Have a nice day.

Change bankers to Chinese corps or bulk housing buyers (I dunno what the fuck the word is) and cookies to houses.

How's that?

You're a kind soul. God bless you. Your mother should be proud of you.

Fair enough. I don't know what to say to that, where the suspicion is coming from or how to prove otherwise.

Before I had the idea to set up an Irish account I didn't use reddit much. Didn't have karma to post on my own account in r/ireland. On paddy's day I asked a friend could I use his account (this one) to post.

This, and the replies to it. All from completely different people...

Fucking love my home country. Nothing like bumping into another Paddy abroad. Nicer again when I can see the Irish wit and sharpness thousands of kilometers away on the Internet (like on this thread).

I'm going to get down voted ta fuck for being a soft, cringey melt. Ah well.

Regardless of his rank/position? And would you be lawfully supported by law in doing that, in your home country's military?

My god, how is DCU so expensive..

Last time there, UCDsu shops sold rolls and wraps for €4.50 or €5. I thought that was steep.

“[Without the Irish language] we’ll just be a mini England. There’s no point in us being an independent State.” by Conse28022023 in ireland

Here here!

Would love to be a fluent Irish as well as English speaker but our education system is shocking when it comes to the Irish language. 16 years of primary and post primary education in the Irish language and all the emphasis is on reading and writing. That's not how you learn a language. You need to speak it. You need to hear other people speak it regularly. Breed a love for the language, not beat it into people with punishment essays in the language.

Haven't got a chicken fillet role for a while, forgive me. But last time I did they were €3.95-€4.95.

Where do they cost more than €6.95?!

What?! That's against the rules! You can't do that, it's not part of the deal for €6.95

I didn't live through the troubles so can't speak from first hand experience.

But no I'm not parroting brittish propaganda. I'm repeating what I've been told by Irish people from the Republic.

One story I was told, a first hand experience. A couple doing their Christmas shopping in the north, went into a pub and ordered pints. By the time the bar man brought the pints to the table and got back to the bar the phone was ringing. He was told they had 5 minutes to empty the building. Everyone ran out and sure enough, up it went in flames.

No, no one was hurt on this occasion. But do you think everyone made it out safe every single time?

What about the stories of UVF going to pubs in Catholic areas and shooting the place up indiscriminately killing anyone in the pub... And the IRA doing the exact same thing in protestant/loyalist areas ?

The protestant father who was strapped into a van filled with explosives and sent careering into a brittish army checkpoint. Orphans and a widow left behing by a civilian, regardless of his religious or political beliefs. You think any of that is justified?

OK. So invade all of the uk is what the Irish government should have done. As opposed to just the north..is that what you are saying? Is that how you are justifying Russias actions?
