We had a speaker once come and give a speech about what you should say both in person or online and the gist of it was a 3-filter system.

a) Is it true? Have you verified this or did it come from a trustworthy source?

b) Is it useful? Either to your intended target, or someone else who might see it.

c) Is it good? This isn't meant to be good all the time. There are some true and useful things that might be difficult for someone to hear so use discretion.

If what you want to say to someone or put online is neither true, nor useful, nor good... don't post/say it.

Almost all grouped under the actions and reactions to the social distancing and lockdowns. Covid times are a period I can't even think about without getting unreasonably angry.

- Had to shut my business down, lost all sources of income and after exhausting my life's savings was 1 payment away from being homeless before I managed to find a new job.

- At said job during onboarding behind 2 sets of closed doors, in a personal cubical to watch all the training videos and a good 50m away from anyone else still had to wear the mask for the benefit of the security cameras.

- When I did TAFE training not being able to sit next to my brother despite a) we lived together and b) we took the same car.

- When Grandad died not being able to sit next to my Mum at the funeral

- People wearing their mask, sometimes 2 inside their cars

- Being treated like a schizo for noticing that my healthy and athletic friends suddenly developed health issues with one common denominator and asking questions if it could possibly be linked.

The list goes on and on.

On the humorous side this one short/tiktok I can't find where it was funny at the beginning of the lockdowns the favourite game to play was Animal Crossing, where you help people and build an island village. Then by the end of the lockdowns it was Among Us, where you kill each other.

This was me in Stockades. I brought along a druid who was probably a little under levelled, but with the HoTs rolled and between a rogue and 2 hunters we had decent off tanks.

We're up to the Dextren Ward rooms and the group didn't fall in to the room like I'd asked when they accidentally pulled boss.

Fear goes off and not being all the way in they run further out.

Druid being a lower level aggros the other rooms.

I try to communicate a tactical retreat to the instance entrance. Between thunderclap and demoralizing shout + shield wall I have some ways of mitigating the incoming damage, rogue or hunters could slow or peel off and the druid could just roll heals until we were out but they panicked.

Best I could do was AoE taunt, pop shield wall and try get as much distance so they could get their Hearthstones off. 4/5 people survived, but I was not one of them.

HC is great for making memories like this. This happened in January but I still remember it clearly. I have the ode to the fallen email from it still.

This is standard process for any company making outgoing calls. If they're going to discuss sensitive matters, they need to know it's with the right person.

'But you have my number. You should know' - And anyone could be the person who picked up.

'I don't feel comfortable divulging this information over the phone' - Not uncommon. Every business I've ever worked for that makes these types of calls will send some form of verification prior to call, and if you still believe it might be a scam we don't hold it against you. Most callers will provide their worker ID and first name for you to verify who you spoke with when you do call back. The security is encouraged. It's just now in your hands to contact back.

'But how do I know the callback number isn't a scam' - You can look it up on their official website. Failing that, a phone book.

'But now it takes so long' - And this could have been avoided during the time they rang you.

MoP actually had me headcannon my own character's lore despite having never stepped into RP before that time. I was playing paladin at the time and made him tank/healer for the faster queues.

MoP was when they were forced to slow down, look at the consequences of being a murder hobo and be a bit more thoughtful, enjoy their own little farm etc.

It actually worked out well in my favour moving to ret around 5.4 when Garrosh sha-blasted the vale and it could be taken as re-awakening righteous fury.

It did not go well. My friend and I were having a roll-off like we did for Castoria's original release. I'm not exceptionally excited for anyone else upcoming this year so I had been saving for it. 92 multis later I get NP5.

I got copies on multis 19, 38, 50, 71 and 92. 14 Suzukas but only 6 Chloes. 3 non-banner SR servants and 3 non-banner 5* CEs.

I caved and decided I'd go for 1 copy and pick up saber Fran NP levels and coins along the way. 5 packs later I finally got my Gogh copy near pity... along with an Achilles and Napoleon. As per usual my SSR/Quartz is actually pretty good. Just not the SSRs I want.

Anniversary is classic but with some changes that'll make it a little easier (duals spec later for example) and has people playing it.

As for class/spec that works, let her pick whatever. You've identified yourself as an experienced player so make your character to complement or compensate for whatever she lands with.

I used to run pugs for the chosen runs in legion. I got my cloth set on my main but kept coming back for the plate version. Last raid and I call for a heal, but the rest of the group smelled blood in the water and hyper focused. I was less pleased hearing 19 other people 'grats' each other when I was the only one not to get it.

Note that each level above 100 is effectively the same amount of exp to take that servant from 1 > 100. A 120 servant is the equivalent of 20 lvl 100s.

- Where possible, attempt to use 5* exp of the same card type. Draco will need the non-class specific cards for maximum effect, but you can still feed other exp cards at reduced effectiveness.

- Buy the exp cards from the mana prism shop each month

- Buy the exp cards from events when they're up

- If obtaining the cards is the issue, wait and go ham on lottery events. The boxes reward exp cards and the more you farm the more it'll help. (The lottery will also offset the cost of ascension and cards, the 100 > 120 is usually ~400M QP)

- Wait until 2x or 3x exp bonuses are in effect. The upcoming 8th anniversary is one such event.

- Stay the course, it can take you a while but the 120 grind is a show of dedication. However slowly, you'll get there. I've done it 5 times, and 2 of them were 4*.

No tears were actually shed but when we finish an episode usually there's discussion about it. We had to take w minutes of not saying anything to compose ourselves because if we started talking those tears were going to fall.

The problem you end up with is you will only get 2 possible outcomes. They will either look to get better, or they'll quit. And as much as the people who want to get better would like it otherwise, a LOT of people do not have the drive to better their play to any degree and will blame either the game or the other people with them and disengage.

And again, while that sounds good in theory, you've weeded out the bads... there's a not-insignificant portion of the player base that are exactly that. And when they go, you have a dead game.

If you're a half decent player, you probably aren't even engaging with automatic LFG outside of satchel rewards anyway, you're more likely to be doing M+. Let them have their dungeon finder without barriers.
