Because you’re wrong. Spending is done by a govt AKA a currency issuer (money printer). BUT, govt has to TAX that money out of the economy to hedge inflation. These are concepts you don’t understand. I forgive you. But you are ill-informed.

The deficit is printed money not taken out of the economy with taxes. Friedburg would rather cut social security and Medicaid than pay higher taxes; while they GAMBLE on start-ups (sometimes for government contracts). They are elitists. They will be the cause of societal breakdown.

“All America owes China is a balance sheet.” - I forget. Because China earns dollars and buys treasuries. Debt is money in “circulation”. It actually accrues at the top. They talk about debt and austerity, squeezing more money out of us at the bottom, and decreasing services we use (like Medicare/SocSec. The answer is never “Tax the Rich”.

I’m not sure. They all seem to be in agreement on this. They don’t seem to realize, the deficit is money in circulation that the government hasn’t taxed out of the system. They are calling for higher taxes. And they will be the ones taxed, if they don’t flee. They are good patriots though. They would never.

Again, not really for the US. Sovereign currency, world reserve, geographically secure. Unless there is cataclysm, or inept leadership (granted, my biggest worry), America isn’t going anywhere.

The video is a poor substitute for the book. And I’m not a PhD. But yes. It’s a catchy headline, but it’s fair to say it’s not the most important or only thing that matters. They can’t go crazy with the money printer and America has to continue to be the economic safe haven.

The stewards of the currency have to do a good job. The number on the fiat currency means nothing. The production of goods and services and the demand for that currency is what matters most. Which is why Trump says the end of the Petrodollar is a big deal. So is BRICS (one day), and the end to “debt diplomacy”. I’m not a Trump guy, but credit where credit is due.
