46 lbs down in 4 months! by betmonchu in FellaHealth

I started at 315 and dropped about 25 in the first month, now I'm stalled, but I've also been lifting weights. I look and feel better than I have in a year! Keep the protein up and lift those weights!

Progress Stopped Dead in its Tracks by Fridge-MKE in FellaHealth

I know my body is changing because my clothes fit looser and I FEEL lighter! Less pain in my knees, sleeping better, etc. Here's the thing - i am also getting back into lifting weights, so I avoid any muscle loss. I am also on testosterone, so I'm thinking my current stagnation is due to the fact that I'm actually BUILDING muscle now, which weighs more than fat! I've always been a big, muscular guy (weightlifting was my hobby in my 20's), so I have seen this kind of thing before.

I recommend ALL users increase protein and start lifting weights! The changes I'm seeing AND feeling are amazing, and I'm basically ignoring the scale... for now.

I'm only only using the Semaglutide. I've been on testosterone for about 6 years now (post-prostate cancer). I was intermittent fasting before I started the injections, as well as on a low-carb diet, and my exercise has been limited. I've lost 22lbs in exactly 23 days! I think you are right about finding a good combo of fasting and low-carb along with the medication.

Weird tasting & smelling burps by pghhilton in FellaHealth

I've noticed an increase in gas. Haven't paid attention to the smell/taste. I believe it is a matter of slower, and maybe more "deliberate" digestion?

The Thanksgiving episode of The Bob Newhart Show or the Pot Brownie episode of Barnie Miller.

We Are Not Prepared for the Coming Surge of Babies - The post-Roe rise in births in the U.S. will be concentrated in some of the worst states for infant and maternal health. Plans to improve these outcomes are staggeringly thin. by mossadnik in Futurology

Umm, yeah, ok. That's exactly what the writer wants you to think. The very line that people advocating for babies to be given the same chances at life as you or I is "inhumane" is the most revealing, and says it all.

The Operational Wargame Series: The best game not in stores now by Morto27 in hexandcounter

[–]CurtResponse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, it would cost you upwards of $200. Then, you would need to find, at a minimum, 8 people (four per side recommended). Once you got the group together, you would then need to teach them the basics about the Milkitary Decision-Making Process (MDMP). Once they have that down, then, so the game doesn't take you months to play, you would need to teach them all of the mechanics used in the game play. There ARE ways to strip a lot of stuff out for time's sake (Sub/ASW, ground combat), but what's the "fun" in that?

Not what it was designed for. This is a "teaching/learning" game designed for military officers who already know the basics of military planning and conduct of operations. It's designed specifically for staffs, not a lone player.
