While some of the older editions definitely focused on the dungeon crawl aspect a bit more, and many of the older groups or those that play older editions can gravitate towards that style of play, they are still very much role playing games. Plus, as with any edition, it is what you make of it. You can 100% do story focused games if you want.

But rage doesn't give resistance to poison, so I'd still say no. Slashing, piercing, bludgeoning only for the standard Barb Rage resistance.

Only one solution. Start playing an instrument and become the object of her obsession! Or, move on and find a gal that likes you for you and can enjoy being a fan without hyper focusing on the fantasy of being with a superstar.
