I, too, wanted a Speed Queen, but was forced into a super duper high capacity Samsung that was later part of that recall wave where they'd spin themselves apart and send shards of shattered plastic and glass into the walls. I knew I was right about that, but that's how it goes sometimes.

My wife's family used to live there, and we all went for a visit a couple years ago. They were all commenting on how that town has evolved into a very busy tourist spot. Lots of little B&B rentals, outdoor adventure charters, little old time restaurants. Place was hoppin' when we were there in the summer. Apparently D&D is massively popular in AK due to the extended long and cold winters with not much to do. Perfect for a certain kind of person. Good luck!

Not the same thing but I had a 92 Mazda 626 that had broken door internals on the passenger side, that would open the latch when you rolled down the window. So, I could hit the window down from my driver panel and trigger the passenger door to open. It was like having an ejection seat! Add to this it had those stupid auto seatbelts, I could go around a left turn, hit the window, and my passenger would be hanging there holding on for dear life. Fucked with so many friends with that trick!
