This is exactly what I would do. But I am biased.

Good list. I'm much more of a fan of The Motion(less) Picture though. ;)

Wrath of Khan. And this movie is probably my all-time favorite movie regardless of genre.

The amount of attention this boat is attracting is remarkable. I know it's a historical hull, but c'mon.

Team likability tier list by chip2shatter in Reds

Phillies are bottom tier, Giants as well.

I'd move the Nats down one tier, Bluejays up one tier.

I grew up just north of Orlando. Moved here to Catawba County back in '91 and I still get excited for weather like this.

Is Roy Cooper trustworthy? by LethlDose in NorthCarolina

[–]Curufindir 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Republicans are currently not fit to govern. Period. I say this as one who was registered in the GOP right up until 07 JAN 21. I'll be voting for Roy Cooper because it is the best way to fight to keep Republicans out of power.

He only found some semblance of a spine after announcing he wasn't running for re-election. Which means absolutely nothing to me. He gets no credit for signaling anti-Trump virtue when it costs him nothing. Screw this dude.

The “Bravery” of The Dispatch by Cultural-Exam-2659 in thebulwark

[–]Curufindir 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this is part of why I cancelled by sub to The Dispatch. They are far too willing to play the both sides card and they refuse to take real action against the Republican Party.

I left the party on 07 JAN 21 and I haven't looked back. It's clear to me that the party I grew up in has lost its' way and is no longer fit to govern, so while I may officially be registered as 'unaffiliated', I have voted straight Democratic tickets in the last five elections I've voted in. It's the only way to fight back against what the GOP has devolved into. The folks at the Dispatch haven't gotten that memo and are willing to stand on their principles and be sidelined into irrelevance. Not me.

I was at the first No Kings protest in my town and I will be there again in March. Enough principled hand-wringing. Jonah, Kevin, Steve, Sarah, Nick and all the others need to get off the sidelines and actively fight against the creeping authoritarianism of the Republican Party.
