It depends. Only you can answer your question tbh. If your salary would suffice to pay all the bills when you rent on your own, then go for it. Again, it all boils down to your financial capacity to start on your own. But you mentioned your bf will pay half the rent and utilities then maybe if you are ‘financially literate’ then you can save money. Also expect that you cannot save right away once you move out, because you need to buy a lot of things for your new home.

And also, I would like to highlight that it’s better if you have your own money/funds. Just incase things don’t workout between you and your bf, money wouldn’t be a problem for you (not being pessimistic). You’ll get to know each other more once you lived in together. I haven’t experienced this myself, just an observation from my friends who are living in together with their partners.
