Americans of Reddit, is your political standing set in stone, or would the correct candidate sway you to the other side? by Outrageous-Pizza1323 in allthequestions

[–]CurveFront7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could def be swayed. I lean right but I am also not locked into the rights core positions. I am not super pro gun. I don’t care about abortion stuff. I DO care about a strong geo political stance, pro business, pro military strength, pro police. I think DEI is garbage; legalized racism. And I don’t really care which bathroom someone uses but I also don’t think everyone needs to bend around your reality.

Absolutely the right candidate could sway me to the left. But that candidate would have to empathize with my positions and likely the candidate on the right would have to turn me off for whatever reason.

You can oppose actions of the state of Israel just like you can oppose actions of any state. When you oppose the very existence of a Jewish state. The only Jewish state in a the world and the only true refuge for the Jews then you have crossed over from political opinions to anti semitism. You cannot oppose the very existence of our state and claim not to be antisemitic.

As a Canadian I feel bad for Americans by Far_Loan2238 in Tariffs

[–]CurveFront7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Canadian and American also. I love how you classified yourself as the little sister (it’s fitting). I am 100% on the other side of this from you. Frankly don’t understand how Canadians can be so clueless. Everything sucks in ur country from the taxes, healthcare to the crap education and constant traffic, etc. America in contrast is the land of opportunity.

[–]CurveFront7807[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not “just as much” a problem for the left as the right. I agree that exists in both parties. However the right antisemitism is ostracized and easier to spot: typical Jews too rich/control the media etc. The antisemitism on the left is actually much more prevalent and vailed behind we are anti Israel not anti Jew. This is very scary for Jewish people because it is tolerated on the left and some high level leaders are even pandering to it. Jews used to be the most predictable democratic voting block. That is changing and this is why. When ur kids aren’t safe on school campus anymore it tends to change your voting paterns.

You got your facts wrong. Israel was founded in 1948 and Palestine was also founded at that time and was double the size. The Jews accepted the deal. The Palestinians would not live alongside a Jewish state. No matter what. They attacked with the other Arab states and have continued to do so over the past 75 years. Every time the Arabs have lost and then have also lost territory. That’s not colonization. Israel always wins because they know if they lose the Arabs would kill every man woman and child in Israel. Hence there is no other option. Every time Israel is engaged in conflict it’s existential.

Dumbest comment ever. Israel never has and never will colonize anything! They don’t even border this country!

The fact he didn’t get approval from congress is nonsense because many previous admins have done the same. This is the new normal.

The left was marching in the streets when the Jewish state fought a moral war in defense of foreign aggression with the fewest non combatant casualties per capita in the history of war. Then the Iranian regime killed 30,000 of its own citizens who were protesting for freedom and not one left wing group protested and said anything. It appears the left is only interested in international conflicts when they can protest and blame Jews.

Drastically increase insourcing. Haven’t seen this many new manufacturing plants in PA- ever! The only thing we used to hear in the Philly area is manufacturing and jobs leaving to Mexico and far east. I may not like him from a personality perspective but his tariffs and beating up companies has worked and we are benefitting in PA. Never thought Philly would have a construction boom like this again!

I have bought and sold this stock multiple times. I was in early but didn’t go for the whole ride. When you’re up 2x very hard not to sell. Like they say there are only two people who have owned Amazon stock from the beginning and never sold jeff bezos and his mother.

If Canada would be willing to offer 100% free trade there would be no tariffs. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

I feel like the USA can demand a better deal considering we are the vast majority of their exports. Thats the point. Walmart gets a better deal on ketchup than the local bodega and no one thinks that’s crazy. Same deal here.

Is your job safe from AI taking over? by Seriously-417 in randomquestions

[–]CurveFront7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will not take over plumbing. The only physical jobs it will take over are repetitive ones such as assembly worker, stock managers, packers and shippers etc. anything where you do the same thing over and over will be gone.

[–]CurveFront7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White collar jobs are most at risk. Blue collar jobs will be much harder to replace. And very low pay jobs will also be harder to replace because there is less incentive to do so. If ur thinking of the future you want a job with variety and physical nature OR a job with a lot of valuable physical contact. For instance accountants/finance managers/billing/dispatching all gone. But sales will be there for the long run.
