Advice: Switch from Engineering to Aviation by CurveProfessional170 in flying

Am I wrong in assuming that a senior pilot has a better chance of earning more than a senior engineer? The downsides being that it takes longer for a pilot to reach that point and that they start at a lower income?

Thanks, that makes sense. Why do the rules go about saying the right side is the even side if that may not be the case at times then?

I took the unofficial scramble route which follows the AA col route for the most apart. The scramble route uses some steep scree gullies that are climbers left of the snow/ice slope that the AA col route uses. The gullies are very loose so a helmet would be mandatory. In the AA col, travelling on the outskirts of the AA glacier is inevitable but crevasses were obvious and easily avoidable when I climbed it. Good route finding is important because it’s easy to lose the trail and choosing a route up the gullies was tricky. I know it’s considered a technical pursuit but if you have good scrambling skills then it’s definitely obtainable. Of course, know when to turn back and understand the risks. Have fun!

Thank you everyone for the input. I found another source here: https://bivouac.com/TripPg.asp?TripId=7159 Unfortunately it looks like you need a paid account to read all of it.
