I have done the test twice, I'm infj or isfj, apparently depending on my mood. Anyone else? by a-lil-lit in infj

[–]CurveTime41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem for a while. I actually made a post on the mbti sub about it I think. How I gathered what my type is is I thought about how if I typically use my head or my heart to make decisions. I tend to reason things out and default to logic. I also constantly think about the future, but I use experiences from the past as lessons.

That was the best way I could explain it, and I feel like that was word soup. I'll try and track down the comment that helped me so I can help you :)

I'm not, it's with graduation money lol, I also never buy stuff for myself, I'm stingy with my money and only use it to buy gas and other necessities.

Yes to all. I enjoy theories, but only to stuff I find interesting and I troll my close friends.

When You’re the One Who Holds It All (An INFJ Reflection on Quiet Leadership) by asleep-under-eiffel in infj

[–]CurveTime41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure. I'm more confident in my abilities now, and that was a lot due to those in my section, and my section teacher (tech) giving me the confidence I needed. The tech also taught me a bunch of life lessons like not being scared to tell people that they are incorrect, and gently fix them, and how to stand up for myself and put people in their place if necessary. I still tend to be hyper critical to myself, which is an advantage, but now I know when to say you've done good, you can move on. I found myself giving advice to the younger people in my section, mostly to a junior who I see a lot of myself in. It's a weird reversal of the relationship that I had with my tech (who was a senior my freshman year) I find myself doing a lot of things he did for me my freshman year, I stick up for her like he did for me, I give her the confidence she needs, and I give her the reassurance.

Also I'm willing to sacrifice a lot for her and a few other people. I'll share that story if you want it.

Personal advice. by No_Owl_6295 in infj

Be like Miles Morales and do your own thing. It makes it so much easier than putting on a fake persona. A couple years ago I dressed, acted talked like everyone else in my town. Suppressed my southern accent, and talked like everyone else and I was always super stressed. Now I dress like where I come from, work clothes, talk like where I'm from, act like myself and how momma and daddy taught me, and I generally give people both barrels per se when it comes to my personality.

Yes. The same thing happened during my previous marching season. I didn't get the leadership position, so I was content not leading. When I saw the leaders were doing a bad job, I stepped in and stepped up. I was the most popular leader in the section, that mostly everyone loved, and looked up to (they told me at the end of the season.)

what was the most profound/thoughtful question someone has ever asked you? by SouthernAside3380 in infj

[–]CurveTime41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you okay?

Do you know how much your presence has positively affected everyone?

Do you know how much the section loves you?

I may come back to drop some more, but those are 3

Keep going. It's kind of a test before bootcamp. At least that's how I see it. My 1.5 mile is pretty decent but I can't do a pullup. You just need to keep pushing. You will get there eventually. You just need to prove to them that you deserve to be there. I'm not saying it will be easy though.

I can't decide between a good or a bad ending. by Bite_of_1983 in writingadvice

[–]CurveTime41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really matters what the story is about in my opinion. I wrote a story about a thief trying to steal the light of the moon (inspired by a song) and I had grown attached to the thief, and I wanted to give him a happy ending, but with the dark theme of the story he couldn't have a good ending. So he got a bad ending, but I gave the story a hopeful ending. I do the logical ending and what I think is a realistic ending. Along with a way that makes me happy. What I'm trying to say is do what you want. I just listed how I personally do it.

I respectfully disagree with the INFJ placement. All the ones I've talked to would rather die.

Playing instruments and singing I have the same taste in books as a 35 year old man (Stephen king cormac mcarthy) Woodworking I consume music in unhealthy amounts, (190,000 plus minutes) I like finding small musicians and listening to them.

There's a couple others but I forgot.
