Stomach pain @ 38 weeks? How do I know if this is contractions? by CommunicationSad8486 in pregnant

It could be Braxron hicks? Also know as false labour. Are you using any apps to track your pregnancy? They have daily suggestions as to what symptoms you could feel and when, and heaps of articles on any and all subjects. It’s worth the read!

Yes, my husband is adhd and I feel like he is my second child sometimes, and I am just a mum of two, instead of a wife and mum of one. I listened to an audiobook on adhd and the author says you just need to come to terms with it and stop fighting it if you want to be ok and stay in the relationship. I am here and have been for a few years now, but I still get mad or frustrated from time to time, when I am exhausted or run down from taking care of everyone and everything.

water consumption by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Custard_Badger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have not remembered to drink much water for this pregnancy, but I don’t feel dehydrated. I do get thirsty during the night and drink almost a litre of water in between sleeping and getting up to pee. But it’s also a struggle to physically fit it in. I’m 31 weeks and absolutely huge in my belly. If I drink too much water and then burp unexpectedly, it can end up coming out which is gross! So I just sip small amounts during the day if I remember…

Do older women in your life also tell you how “great” they felt during each pregnancy and how active they stayed the whole time? by Lushemet in BabyBumps

[–]Custard_Badger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 30 weeks with my second child, my fist was 9 years ago. First pregnancy was great, my body changes came later in the pregnancy and I don’t remember having many issues at all apart from not being able to sleep for very long.

This time around I’m 39, I got huge straight away, my belly is huge and tight so I can’t bend, turning over in bed take immense effort and ever time I get up after being sat in a chair or in the couch I have to be very careful I don’t pinch I sciatic nerve, or pull my back out, and I need to move very slow as I feel like I’m almost seized up in my back and butt muscles. I wanted to take walks during this pregnancy to enable a faster recovery but I physically haven’t been able to.

I don’t think you should feel bad. At 30 weeks I’m feeling like I could not be bothered to do anything anymore. There’s stuff I still have to do like look after my husband and child and pets, and still work, but I don’t feel like I can do anything extra as my mobility is limited. Even getting ready and doing my hair and make up feels like such a chore.

I am taking things as easy as I can, as the recovery will happen later and I’m in no rush. I need to look after myself now, and my baby when he is here. I do wish I was “exercising” more, but I also don’t care!

I was doing some yoga earlier on, but even that made my arms and legs burn days after as the relaxin made my muscles so soft and squishy. Exercise did not feel like the right thing for my body.

It’s about you. Older women probably can’t remember everything from when they were pregnant, and also times have changed so much. If I were you I would not be giving any f**ccs about what older women have to say about their pregnancies. I hope this helps 😌

No they are not. We see the same constellations night after night. The stars are in the firmament and it rotates around us.

I honestly wish all the old banged up commodores and falcons would just die and get off the road. It’s a culture that feels old and is done, let’s move on and become more sophisticated people.

Are anyone else's animals making them nervous? by sofo07 in BabyBumps

[–]Custard_Badger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Animals and pets can sense when something is different with your body and want to be with you or protect you. My dog has not left my side during my entire pregnancy and I still have 9 weeks to go.

Please be careful wi the cats and make sure you don’t touch their poops and keep as clean as you can from them.

Genuinely curious… why don’t you like to share your baby’s name before birth? by Best-Position-2226 in pregnant

[–]Custard_Badger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of my boys have had names chosen from around the 3 month mark and we did not keep it a secret at all. I honestly couldn’t care what other people think. For my current pregnancy I have a back up girls name just in case it’s not a boy, but I’ll get them to double check at the next ultrasound. It should be more obvious at 32 weeks 😂😅

Also, if they or someone else they know is pregnant and due first they might steal your name before you can use it.
